Hi everybody,

In a deposition I took, defense counsel put the I.D. number of the applicant's medical card into the record. The applicant's counsel asked for a motion to strike the I.D. from the record.

Is this something that the court handles, or is it something that I have to take care of?

Thanks you guys!

You NEVER take anything out of the record, ever.  Let the attorneys deal with it on their end.

The only thing you can do is put it under seal in a "Highly Confidential - Bound Separately" part of the transcript, but that's only if it is stated on the record for you to do so.

Whew,  thanks so much, Kelli.  That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure.

I really appreciate your help.

No worries.  Glad to help.
