That was very nice of you. Thank you.

Wish I could understand why a reporter would even bother taking a deposition if you're not going to bother to turn the job in. What's the point? Of course, the last time she turned a job in (a year ago) the transcript was hardly even usable.

What I want to do is send out an email blast to those cover depo groups warning all the agencies to be aware of this reporter when looking for someone in the New York, Boston, Rhode Island, etc. groups. I want people to be aware of her since I can't get rid of her.

I'm going to forward what I found (in an archived email from her - looking for work!) to your email - has her email address/phone number. I sent that to the most recent agency trying to track her down

I felt compelled to help the agency too - after I was burned by her about six years ago - actually, I made it a mission to try to track her down!

Just found out about a reporter (Which I banned about a year ago) taking a job from CSRnation and holding on to the transcript for three months and not giving it to the agency. Really? These reporters I ban are so desperate for work, that they join again using a different name and email address. So frustrating.

This is horrible and there is no excuse for it. That's why I'm still an old-fashioned reporter! Although there are situations you get into that aren't humanly possible, like a motion hearing I reported the other day. The attorney read his motion and argument from a printed text so fast that it was literally off the scale. I interrupted twice and he finally slowed down toward the end of his dissertation to where it was within the realm of probability and I did fine, but thank God for the…

The attorney read his motion and argument from a printed text so fast that it was literally off the scale. I interrupted twice and he finally slowed down toward the end of his dissertation to where it was within the realm of probability and I did fine, but thank God for the audio in this instance, and something like the above post would never leave my desk. I've been reporting for a long, long time, and whenever this happens, I always leave with a feeling that I've been "set up". What do the rest of you do in a situation like this? Perhaps this should be a new discussion, but. . .
I agree with you, Melissa and…tag:csrnation.ning.com,2013-08-16:1736041:Comment:12804552013-08-16T15:41:02.262ZKelli Combs (admin)http://csrnation.ning.com/profile/Kellicombsadmin

I agree with you, Melissa and Randall. I had no intention of banning anyone for no certification. However, a state like California does have a certification. You do have to have a license to be a reporter in California. That does not mean the reporter will be a great reporter either, I agree with you.

I had an agency owner contact me on Wednesday about a rogue reporter in New York. She wouldn't tell me who it is but wanted to know what I do about these type of reporters. All I…

I had an agency owner contact me on Wednesday about a rogue reporter in New York. She wouldn't tell me who it is but wanted to know what I do about these type of reporters. All I can do is contact the reporter, make them turn in their work, then ban them when I know they're not up to snuff. Too many reporters on here for me to babysit anyone. I'm too busy. When I know there's a problem, I try to deal with it.
Good for you, Kelli.
