Microsoft Security Essentials

I run CC 14 and today when I wanted to do realtime, I coulnd't because I was using McAfee.  When I called Stenograph they told me to download Microsoft Security Essentials, but I'm wondering if it's enough.  Does anyone use this?  Are you happy and satisfied with it?  Do you know if you need a malware prorgram too?

I know whenever I do realtime and I have a security software like Norton of McAfee, it always locks up my computer.  I don't use that software on the laptop that I write realtime to; just don't want the added stress.  You can also disable it when writing RT.  Just a thought.
