Hello, all. I've been freelancing for almost five years now, but I'm wondering about working in the NJ court system. Does anyone have a specific information of how I can begin in court? I've been checking the job listings for the past two years, and there's never an opening. What's up with that?! I've been thinking of starting per diem work, but I have no idea how to get started. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Joanne,
At the last NJ convention they talked about needing officials, said they need 17 officials and that you need your CRR. Then at the end of it all they said there's a hiring freeze.
If you're looking to do some per diem work, contact the Official supervisors in the counties you're interested in and give them your contact info.
Good luck.
