For those videotaped depositions, I had to come up with a couple briefs. The videographer would say, "Would you swear in the witness, please?" and I would always freeze, because not only am I…Continue

Ironic - I just had this in my last depo for the first time ever and now you ask about it. They also said ADLs which I would write as ALDS/ALDS.
Comment by Ann Medis on July 6, 2012 at 8:19 Debbie, Janet, Sam - thank you, thank you, thank you. They're in my dictionary!

Comment by Debbie Taggart on July 5, 2012 at 22:05 Does anyone have a brief for "activities of daily living"? I can't believe that I don't have a brief for that, and I just can't seem to cook one up. It's driving me crazy writing that out lately.
Comment by Janet on July 3, 2012 at 7:26 For misstates previous testimony, add a final F to the ones I just listed.
Comment by Janet on July 3, 2012 at 7:21 I usually hear it misstates prior testimony. Here are some for that:
M-RP - misstates prior testimony
MERP - misstates her prior testimony
MIRP - misstates his prior testimony
You could add the O for Objection, misstates...
MORP - Objection. Misstates prior testimony.
MOIRP - Objection. Misstates his prior testimony.
MOERP - Objection. Misstates her prior testimony.
Comment by Naola "Sam" Vaughn on July 3, 2012 at 6:18 I write SMEFT for misstates testimony and CHEFT for mischaracterizes testimony. I write objection separately and then the one stroke for what comes after it. Maybe I should start incorporating an asterisk or an O to indicate the word objection in there. But sometimes they just say object instead of objection.
Don't have anything, but how about MIM or MOIM for misstates testimony and MIFM or MOIFM for misstatement of testimony.
Comment by Janiece on July 2, 2012 at 18:59 How do you write "misstates testimony" or "misstatement of testimony" or do you have a something for "objection. Misstates testimony" or "objection. Misstatement of testimony."
Thanks
