I've also posted this message in the CART/captioning forum, but adding it here too just in case :)

Does anyone have any experience of CART over the Polycom system? We've had a query, which could potentially be huge for our company, if we can nail this down. We have no experience of sending text through Polycom or Tandberg and was wondering (hoping and praying) if someone could help out?

Considering the posting going on about the elections I'm dubious about the title of this post :)
And I want to say I'm not American and have no affiliation to any side, just so that's clear!

However, I was just wondering if many people captioned any/much/all of the election coverage and how they found it?
Here in Ireland we did have some coverage, not too much, I guess we were on air about 8 hours over the 36 period, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hey, everyone, I'm an Official CR in New York and I want to add CART to my reporting repetoire. I bought Preparing for the CCP exam and I am beginning to read everything I can about how to provide CART, but what else should I do to get out there to begin down this path? Thanks in advance for any and all input.

I'm at 160 wpm and need to pass 2 JC and 2 QA before I can move on to the 180 speed level. I'm a little confused about how and when I should start focusing on captioning or if I should complete school and not worry about captioning until I finish and take my state test to become a reporter... any insight?
