Hi - I'm just starting a new discussion topic for this because I don't want the info to get too buried in Keith's excellent post. I've been using Flash Card Machine - it's great!

Things I would like to add:

Let's say you have a bunch of briefs or phrases that you'd like to practice, but don't have them in a file, but they are in your dictionary already.

1. Write them realtime - make sure they all translate - if not global the ones that aren't in your dictionary yet.

2. Now, go back to the top of the doc and Ctrl J (in Eclipse) each brief or phrase into your Job dictionary.

3. Export the Job dictionary to a text file. You might have to do a global replace to make it a tab-delinated file.

4. Now you have a text file of whatever cateogory of briefs you want, ready to be uploaded into Flashcard Machine.

I did all my "of" briefs like this in less than 5 minutes - you can too!

For those of you who have IPhones or IPod Touch's, download IFlipr for a couple of bucks, upload your text files onto the online site and your flash cards will sync with your IPhone or ITouch. These flash cards are not automatic, but it's great for off-machine study. The program has built-in intelligence to help you focus on briefs you are fuzzy on. This is working GREAT for me!!!

Enjoy!I've been having a lot of fun using both programs at home and on-the-go!!

Thanks again, Keith, for getting us going on flash cards!

Monica, thank you for keeping this going. I want to get into this flash card stuff. I've used the index card method and that works, but 'so last millennium', lol!
Hi Joanne! Hope it's going well.

Yes, definitely. I use both the Flash Card Machine and the IFlipr on my IPod Touch. I actually study in bed! Or when I'm waiting around doing nothing. Flash cards on the IPod are great - you can have 1000's of 'em!
