I know how hard court reporters work to make their transcripts as close to perfect as possible. With an organized, efficient, and detail-oriented proofreader on your team, you can rest in knowing that you will achieve that goal. The court reporter’s preferences are a top priority for me. Just tell me what your preferences are, and I’ll proof your transcripts based on those preferences. For more information, email me at karicoxproofing@gmail.com, or visit my website, www.karicox.com.

Why do you need a transcript proofreader? Between taking down a job, scoping it, proofing it, submitting it, and all the stuff in between (you know, eating and sleeping and being with family), it can be hard to get everything done. With me on your team, your time goes further without having to sacrifice what's important to you. Take back your free time. Let's be teammates.

You can email me at chelsea@starlighteditorial.com or visit my website, starlighteditorial.com. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Have a great day!

My desk is clear and I am ready to add a couple additional clients to my schedule.  I work full-time as a proofreader, so my focus is on my clients and the work they send me.   I have been working with court reporters for a number years, have a BA in English with a minor in linguistics, a broad vocabulary, and a passion for grammar and punctuation.

I work in .pdf format and have the ability to convert your documents, as needed, from .txt, .doc, or other formats.  In addition to depositions, hearings, and court proceedings, I also have experience with meeting minutes of various types.  I will read any type of case, regardless of content or subject.

I perform online research as a matter of course, and I insert sticky notes where my research results are more than a few words.

My regular AND expedited rates are reasonable, with no additional charges for weekends.  I am currently offering a special, introductory rate for first time clients.  Contact me for details!

We Never Sleep Proofreading(SM)

I am an experienced full-time California proofreader having read 750,000+ pages since November 2002.  Maximum turnaround is 3 to 4 calendar days (often less).

Proficient with Stenograph Case CATalyst 17 and Stenovations digitalCAT utilizing spot-check or no audio. Old-fashioned proofreading on paper where I provide an errata is also available.  Occasionally use 12.9-inch iPad when away from the office.

Substantial background in medical and legal fields and managed a California court reporting agency.

Please visit my website for contact information, rate information, policies, and unsolicited testimonials.  I am not listing my email in this post (and suggest others don't either) because they easily end up in the hands of spammers!
