Kids birthdays are so expensive these days. Goody bags and balloons and cake and all sorts of stuff.

I wanted to get a face painter for my daughter's birthday. $50 - $150/hr, with a two-hour minimum. If I could freakin' draw, I would ditch the court reporting and become a face painter. Man, that's good money. And a lot less stress. Jeez!!

So true. They really have us over a barrel when it comes to our kids, they know we will do it because every other kid is doing it! Ditto for after-school lessons. My daughter has been in ballet for the last eleven years. I think she should stick with it so she can have a cushy after-school program and charge $120/mo per kid for classes, just go to a couple of schools a week and make nice money doing something that looks like is mostly fun if that is your field. There is a new birthday party deal in my neighborhood which is a giant blow-up pool and they pump tons of suds into, like a swim party but neater, I guess, called Foam Rox. I want to have a foam party, too!
Oh, that actually sounds like fun. It's too cold right now, but I'd love to have one too.
Goodie bags makde.

I just have a horror that people who did not RSVP will show up, and I will not have enough goodie bags. Or people will bring siblings that they did not mention they were going to bring.
