It's killing me to open this bottle with no one to share it with. Drinking a Montes Alpha 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile. It rocks! Especially paired with dark chocolate. Had to let it breathe a little while though. What are you drinking?

Jeanese, no, I haven't tried Slender. Didn't know it was out yet. Have you seen it in the stores? Maybe that's the wine we'll try for our first virtual wine tasting.

The German whites (Auslese, Spatlese) and the French red Chevalier De Bayard are my faves.....Travicello also, which is a "white" almost amber color from Italy

Firestone also makes a great Pinot Noir.

For all you white wine drinkers, my favorite lately is any New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. It's light, crisp, and full of citrus. Kim Crawford makes a good one, and a lot of the stores carry Monkey Bay.

A good alternative to buttery, oaky chardonnay lies outside of California. Try a French chardonnay and it will be lighter and completely different.

Temecula, about 75 miles south of LA, is Southern California's wine country!

Yes, love my wine - mostly Chardonnay, but I may be burning out on the oaky, buttery chards. I should switch to red, I know. Maybe we should get a wine tasting group together in LA? Any thoughts?

Never been dissatisfied with a Kendall Jackson wine.

Check out some of the New Zealand whites.
