Comment by Susanne Moon on October 29, 2012 at 15:40 I have been a court reporter for 35+ years and would like to do some scoping in my spare time, just a job now and then; preferably no rush jobs, as I am still reporting -- but I hope to make scoping my next career after I retire from my official position in the next couple of years. I use ProCAT software and would love to help reporters with some overflow on occasion.
Feel free to e-mail me at smooncrr@yahoo.com or give me a call at 573-378-9186 for further information.

Comment by Suzanne Lee on October 24, 2012 at 17:13 I am an experienced, professional scopist/proofreader accepting any types of jobs (depositions, court, meetings, dailies, expedites, etc.). My work history includes 20+ years as a scopist and proofreader, as well as 13 years (to present) as a court reporter. (I also worked for three years as a high school English teacher and six years as a legal secretary before beginning my court reporting practice.) I have a bachelor of science degree in English and a technical certification in computer science, as well as my training in machine shorthand.
My software is Case CATalyst 11 with AudioSync. I also use ExpressScribe for digital audio files.
Please visit my website www.MissCourtReporter.com for more details about my experience, and feel free to contact me at melsuz@aol.com for information about my rates and availability for your specific job.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Comment by Judy on October 24, 2012 at 15:27 If you're a scopist/proofreader that is experienced in doing dailies and have "daily" references, please join our new group Scopists/Proofreaders that do Dailies.
Comment by Veronica Sampson on October 22, 2012 at 10:45 I am scopist with almost two years of experience on StenoCAT and have just started on DigitalCAT. I'm available to take on some jobs during this busy court season.
I have experience doing depositions, trials, interviews and discovery jobs. I'm a stickler for spelling and won't hesitate to look up facts to ensure that your transcript gets back to you in the best shape possible. I have a general turnaround time of 4-5 days for non-rush jobs and I'm available for expedites and dailies as well.
If you’d like to know my rates or hear from my references, call or email me and I’ll be happy to provide them to you.
Thank you,
Veronica Sampson

Comment by Dianne on September 15, 2012 at 11:20 Went to court reporting school, worked as a scopist to pay for school...didn't graduate...almost, but not quite...but I really like scoping. So I updated all of my Case Cat stuff and invested in some good reference material, and I've been scoping for 10 years now. I work with reporters in Texas, California and Florida. I'm looking for a little more work...things are a little slow. So if any reporters out there want a really good scopist, please email me.
Thanks!
Dianne

I've recently become available for scoping/proofreading again. I worked as a scopist/editor using Eclipse at the Royal Courts of Justice (Supreme Court of England and Wales), as well as the International Court of Justice at the Hague and the International Dispute Resolution Center in London. I also have some experience editing depositions. Please contact me if you have editing/proofing needs that I can assist with, thanks.
