A message from Christine Bedard to all members of Total Eclipse on CSRnation!

Can any of you tell me: 1.) How to find out how many dictionary entries I have in my main dictionary and 2.) If/how to find out my untranslate rate w/out setting up my realtime for a job. I know it comes up when I'm writing, but is there a way to check that from any job I've done??
THANKS in advance!

Christine, open your dictionary. The bottom band will have your total dictionary entries.

There is no way of retrieving your stats after you close a RT file.

Barbra, I was hoping Jenny would come along, Queen of the Multiple .inis.
I think what you want to do is open her .ini, then Alt-U, Import settings from the CD drive. Then Save Settings. It will only affect that .ini, not any others.

I would make a backup of your .ini settings, just to be safe, before you start.

Going back and forth is just a matter of going to Load Settings and choosing which one you want to work with.

Thanks. I'll check it out!!

I don't know about Vista. There have been several updates to the LS which seem to have taken care of the majority of concerns people had. I've been happy for a while now, still haven't downloaded the most recent update. Sort of a "not broke, don't fix it" mentality right now.

Over on Depoman.com, in the LSAA (LightSpeed Addicts Anonymous) folder, is the LS users group, or what became the users group at any rate. Lots of good information over there.

I have recently taken on some work for another reporter whose user settings are diferent than mine. I have set up the .ini file, but she has sent me a cd with all of her settings and cover pages, etc.
How do I put them into her user file without changing mine and have the capability of going back and forth?? Your help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you, Brenda. Do you know some of the encountered problems...other than not working with Vista?

Barbra Richards:

It might be better to post your messages here instead of in an email to the group. This way everything is together.

There are several of us who use the LightSpeed with Eclipse and the general opinion is good. There are some who weren't able to make it work, but I'd say most of us are happy.

I was hoping to categorize our discussions so that they're easy for people to find later. With so many different discussions going on, it's sometimes hard to find one you wanted to see gain.

So try to find a discussion above that deals with what you need or want to say and add a reply within that already-existing discussion. If you think we need a new category, start a new discussion.

For example, if you have a shortcut you'd like to share with everyone, add a reply to the "FAVORITE THINGS" discussion. If you need help with something in general, add a reply to the NEED HELP discussion. So far, these are the main categories of discussions we have going:

Hi, everyone! I'm new to this site, and to this group. I am a student using the Eclipse student version, so my knowledge of Eclipse is pretty limited. I hope to learn more from this group! Nina

I had the delay problem and turned out I had a worm or Trojan Horse. My tech guy cleaned my system and it hasn't done it since. The virus stores data, so it locks up your system due to the quantity of data being stored when you're writing realtime I think.
