Women should eat tomatoes - new study!!

According to a new study, a diet high in tomatoes may help ward off a huge health concern for women - breast cancer.

Just read about the benefits of Vitamin D.  I have a cold and was told to take 5000 miligrams a day.  Hoping that will help.

Thanks, Nina

I'd love to lose 10 pounds.  Seems like the last 10 is always the hardest to lose.

Hey, everybody!!

I've been using Isagenix products for weight loss since May of this year and I'm pleased (well, okay, ecstatic actually) to have shed 25 pounds so far!!  What really attracted me to their products is they insist on using only the highest quality organic ingredients with the best nutritional value.

What? You haven't heard of it?  There's going to be a teleconference this Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. PST to introduce the company, their beliefs, and its products.

I've included a flyer with the details.

Pumpkin seeds are edible kernels of pumpkin fruit. The seeds, in-fact, are concentrated source of numerous health benefiting minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants.

I have been watching a new show on The Cooking Channel called The Food Hospital.  They have some excellent information.  I just learned that pumpkin seeds are really good for you.  The only place I've found them shelled and roasted is at Whole Foods. They would be good for a snack or good in a salad.

I just went back on my juicing diet and I am so bloated.  I forgot you have to give your system some time to get used to such a large amount of vegetables going through your system.  So uncomfortable, though.

Did you know 3,000 milligrams a day of Niacin can cure depression?  I'm totally getting into vitamin therapy.  Really interesting stuff.  No one knows about vitamins and their cures because the drug companies don't make money off vitamins.  Sure makes you begin to wonder.....

Oh, yeah, I do bring a juice drink for lunch sometimes.  I make it the night before and then put it in the freezer for about three hours before bed, then take it out and put in in the fridge.  Then when I get up, I put it back in the freezer so it can get slushy so it stays good till lunch.  With the veggie drink, I'll bring a small bag of almonds and pistachios.  Both are very good for you.

You know, for juicing, I have that Living Well Montel blender.  I don't do the actual "juicing" because I think you need the roughage of the veggies and fruits.  I don't follow a recipe, but I can tell you what I put in them.  Both fruits and vegetables.  The fruit makes, of course, the veggies taste better.

I put water about a fourth of the way up the blender, then add carrots, kale, avocado (makes it creamy and good for your skin) apple, mixed frozen berries, clove of garlic, maybe a tomato or broccoli and a scoop of "raw" honey.  Mix that all up really well.   It tastes amazing and also very filling because you left the actual fruit and veggies in there.

I try to drink one at least four or five days a week.  I'm not doing it for every meal like I did last year, but that many in a week really, really helps.
