    Hi Kyung,

    Nice to network with you!

Kyung - I just read your essay in the DRA newsletter about negotiating rates.  I agree 100 percent, and I follow those practices also.  I hope your essay is widely read by all reporters.  I meet so many, especially the younger ones, that just take what is handed out and never inquire about what they're going to be paid.  Some agencies are nickel and diming us to death!  There's one from Northern California that at first refused to reimburse for parking (in downtown LA!), but I see recently now does pay, but only to $25 - even when the bill is $38 to $40!  Then there are a few that subtract one page from the total page count, because you didn't actually report the cert page.  I feel like leaving it off my transcripts, then.  Hold the line!

I'm so sorry to hear this.  I've worked for Magna multiple times and never had a problem.  It does take 45 days to get a check though.

How long has it been since you turned the job in?
