I am looking for work as a CaseCATalyst Scopist.  I was a Court Reporter for over 15 years and have now transitioned into scoping.  I am single, with no children, so I throw myself into my work and really enjoy it.  I work weekends and holidays, too, so I will be here for you during the feast and the famine.  Having ran my own CR business, I know how crazy things can get, especially when it's an all-day Friday job and at the end of the deposition, they turn to you and ask if they can have it by Monday, and it doesn't matter to them if it's a holiday weekend; they need it by Monday.  I'll be there to help lighten your load.

Please allow me the opportunity to work with you.  I always keep the latest version CaseCATalyst.

Visit my website at www.scoping4u.com or email me at faith@scoping4u.com

Thank you for your time and have a great day.

Faith

CASE CATALYST SCOPING TEAM:  Two of the most experienced Case CATalyst scopists have come together to ease the stress that many reporters face in dealing with daily copy trials and depositions.  Experience using Dropbox work units.  Contact Dolly Hall at dollyhal@swbell.net or Monna Dudensing at monnad1@yahoo.com.  We also scope regular turnaround jobs when we are not scoping dailies.  References upon request.

Hi, Everybody.

I am a former CSR turned scopist and live on the New Jersey coast, which was hit by Hurricane Sandy last week and a huge snow storm last night. Work here has been wiped off the books, so I'm seeking scoping work from outside my area.

I have 15 years of experience in the reporting field, depositions, arbitrations, compensation court and board work.

I am on the latest version of Case Catalyst and am able to work with audio/wav files.

Always looking for expedite/daily/immediate copy work.  Can provide references.

If anyone out there needs a little help, my e-mail address is dj1scopes@verizon.net.

Former Official Reporter for the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as Congressional Record "reader" (final editor), available for scoping work.  I use Case Catalyst, version 13.

I graduated from Bryan College of Court Reporting in 1987 (back when Mrs. Patterson ran the school and the famous Margie Wells Wakeman was the English teacher) and passed the California CSR (third in the state, six errors) on my first try.  I also held an RPR.  I resigned from the House of Representatives in January, 2012, and now am a freelance scopist.

Reasonable rates, quick turnaround, no word-for-word proofing necessary.   I always listen to the full audio.

Please email me at lchugill@gmail.com for rates.  Thanks!

Hello! I am a former legal secretary for almost 40 years (retired) and I'm now working from home doing depos for a few court reporters.  I do not have CAT equipment.  I use Microsoft Word, Start/Stop and Dropbox.  It works out very well.  If you can use an audio transcriptionist for your overflow work, email me at metatauta@hotmail.com.  Thanks!

If you need a scopist, please contact me.  I have been a freelance reporter for about five years doing my own work.  I use CaseCATalyst.  Please e-mail me @ msnydercsr@gmail.com.

Comment by Veronica Sampson on October 16, 2012 at 16:41

I am scopist with almost two years of experience on StenoCAT and have just started on DigitalCAT.  I'm available to take on some jobs during this busy court season.

I have experience doing depositions, trials, interviews and discovery jobs. I'm a stickler for spelling and won't hesitate to look up facts to ensure that your transcript gets back to you in the best shape possible. I have a general turnaround time of 4-5 days for non-rush jobs and I'm available for expedites and dailies as well.

If you’d like to know my rates or hear from my references, call or email me and I’ll be happy to provide them to you.

Thank you,
Veronica Sampson
