Happy Veteran's Day

Just wanted to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU and GOD BLESS to our veterans, past, present and future. I am grateful for their service and sacrifice and that of their families.

A friend of mine posted this today, I love it.

In Flanders field the poppies blow. Between the crosses, row on row that mark our place; and in the sky ..the larks, still bravely singing, fly...scarce heard amid the guns below..............lest we forget.

Hey, Kara,

Yes, I remember you. Weren't you livin in the Carib at the time you were scoping for me? If you're in the States feel free to call me; phone is 404-409-1914; email is dennis@azlimited.com

Barb Rosen is awsome as usual. Great scopist and greater person. Nice hearing from you again. Are you reporting or scoping now?

Regards,
Dennis

Hello, Kara

I am going on a 300 passenger cruise around the Barbados area. I have no idea what islands we are going to. Any day not working is a good day, though. Should be fun.

Have a great X-mas.

Hi, Kara. Yes, I remember you! Good to "meet" again, and thanks for the kind words. Wow, your pictures are wonderful. Your kids are so cute. It's always interesting to see what people I've worked with look like, as I get these images in my mind, about their hair color, et cetera, and my imaginings are seldom correct.

So are you scoping now instead of reporting to allow you to stay home with the kids, or like me do you just prefer the scoping end of it?

Yes, Labs love to dig. I have a real problem with that. They love to eat too, I have noticed.

How long has your father been running? If he is running Marathons, he probably does not have to deal with shin splints. I just cannot imagine running a whole marathon. I have a friend that runs them. Absolutely amazing.

Hey, Kara

Thanks for all the great advice. I only started running a year and a half ago. My dad said I was too old to start running. I started at 42. I just have these two big labs and they need exercise and so do I, so I thought we should all just run together.

I think the problem is my shoes had more than 500 miles on them and I was told you need new ones by that point. It has been a week and I tried to run today and I am still in so much pain. I can sort of walk normal. I just hope it goes away soon or I am going to get fat not doing anything.

I am thinking by Thanksgiving it will be gone. Do you know how long you had the shin splints for? What a pain.

Hi Kara,

I just joined CSR Nation this evening. I see your posts on the scopists group on Yahoo. You obviously know what you're doing, and your replies are spot on. I would like to add you as a friend on this forum, or at least open a dialogue with you. I am a Texas gal as well.

Take care,
