Mary Ann,
Have fun. The day you have planned sounds great. I had planned on going to a movie today too but we had a blizzard here last night so I'm digging out my driveway in between working on my Hispanlic witness. I don't know which is worse, shoveling the driveway or my Hispanic speaker. I love Mexican food but I don't think I'm going to be in the mood for it for a while after I get this done. hahahaha
Have a wonderful day, Janiece

Oh, Mary Ann, that would be so generous of you to donate to the rescue league that saved my father, taking him to Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital, when the D.C. ambulance service refused to do it.

It is Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad, 5020 Battery Lane, Bethesda, Maryland 20814-2699. Their phone number is 301-652-0077, and their website is www.bccrs.org. BCCRS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions to the Rescue Square are tax-deductible as permitted by law. The D.C. Charitable Solicitation Number is 53004867.

Thank you so much for thinking of this very worthy organization. I cannot say enough good things about them. I live in D.C., but I am a half block from the Maryland line, and they came to my father's rescue. I will never forget them.

Hey, Mary Ann. Thanks again for the beautiful venue and esprit de corps this past Tuesday at the B&B on 14th St., D.C. I think it's a very good idea to have live bodies getting together and communicating and sharing. The soft-light ambience was superlative, and reporter comraderie, inspiriting. Thank you! And, please, count me in for the next meeting. To be sure I'll spread the word of there being an organization for reporter networking in Northern Va, D.C., and southern Md.
Cheers!

Mary Ann:

I asked about professional writers, and I got a response from Glen - wasn't exactly what I wanted, but I will read his stuff.

To keep it simple: I plan on start looking for a CR job in January. The Stenoram II I got is okay, but I realize it won't do for the long run (backup).

My financial situation, I cannot go into the Miras or other expensive stuff. I want something that is decent, I can connect to a laptop and do real time (just for me). Glen seemed to feel that the Stenuras are a bad choice. I'm an old writer. I want to also make a paper transcript.

I'm thining of the Stenura 800, 600 or a 500. I was even thinking of a Smart Writer. I did look at the ProCat Flash, and that looked okay too.

In January, I am not planning to be the highest paid reporter with all the glittery stuff - just enough to do the job.

What do you suggest?

Hi. My name is Rita Clapp, and I am looking for a court reporter to work with. I use the Total Eclipse NT software.

I have been working with a trial court reporter who uses the Case Catalyst program, so I’ve gotten an education with .rtf files as well as using the FTR recording device.

I am looking for long-term work relationships with court reporters, however am available for short-term and overflow work. I provide both standard and expedited services.
