Hehe.  I just read that too.  Great article at http://music.yahoo.com/blogs/reality-rocks/jennifer-lopez-quitting-...

I love the part about having Jimmy Iovine or someone else like him on the show.  He's great.  I don't always agree with him, but I do more often than not, and at least he's honest.  Thank goodness!

Kelli, your friend may not have to worry about JLo's rambling much longer.   Funny, she wasn't busy before AI.  Now she's too busy.  Here's a clip from a story:

Jennifer Lopez has cried wolf before--last year, she hinted that she might leave "American Idol" after her first season--but sources are now telling E!'s Marc Malkinthat she is planning to quit the show after Season 11 ends next week, because she is "too busy." A rep for Fox declined to comment on E!'s story at this time.

J.Lo definitely is one busy lady--besides being the mother of twins and promoting her upcoming movie, What To Expect When You're Expecting, she is embarking on a world concert tour with Enrique Iglesias this summer--right around the time that Season 12 "Idol" auditions would start filming. But is Jennifer really planning to leave the show that relaunched her once-flagging career, because she feels she no longer needs the promotion? Or is she simply holding out for more money? Following this week's news that Fox's other singing show, "The X Factor," has hired Britney Spears for a reported $15 million--the same salary that J.Lo reportedly earns right now--it's possible that Jennifer is just hoping for a raise, so she can declare that she is THE highest-paid reality judge on Fox.

I actually never paid attention to JLo rambling.  I bet now I'll notice it a lot more.  LOL.  She does promote herself a lot I noticed.  Before she got on AI, her career was in the dumps; she definitely got a boost being a judge on the show.

Hehe.  I like your friend, Kelli! Haha.  I agree with most of that.  I could do without Jennifer; she certainly doesn't add anything.  I wish there was someone on the judges' panel to keep it real.  Every once in a while Randy will give some constructive criticism, but other than that, they are always fawning all over them, especially Jennifer.  I definitely could use some Simon.  Agree with your friend on Josh and Skylar and Hollie.

Here is some feedback from one of my friends of what she thinks of AI this season.  Just a different perspective:

oh, of course i'm watching!  I've liked the season but can't stand JLo and her incessant rambling and self-promotion.  It used to be in the Simon days he'd just say that was absolutely dreadful and leave it at that.  why don't they give the singers more time to sing if they've got 10 mns each show for her to blab?  Also she interrupts Randy a lot and is very rude.  I've even noticed Tyler rolling her eyes when she won't shut up or interrupts.  i think the guys are sick of her too.
as for the singers, I really hope Jessica goes next.  I actually started really liking holly the best the last few shows as I agree Philip does put the basic same sound into every song.  I know everybody loves Joshua but I don't like that style of music so I'm not a good one to ask.  I've loved a few of his songs, though, but for the most part it's too over the top for me.  I actually really liked Skyler better than any that are left but I like country.

That's too bad.  I want them all to do well because that means more great music for me to download.  Bummer.

I think Lee Dewyze is somewhere in hiding with Justin Guarini.

Daughtry has done well and McCreery so far.  Cook isn't doing that well and just parted ways with his record company a couple days ago --

Dewyze 's album was the worst for a winner in Idol history, and he was dropped by RCA all the way back in November and has fallen off the face of the earth.

You're probably right; Jessica will probably sell tons of records when this is over whether she wins or not.  We need a new female pop sensation now that Whitney H. has left us.

I didn't know that about the male singers.  Cook has done very well.  They dropped Dewyze?  He hasn't been out there that long yet.  Wow, very interesting.  Daughtry has done very well.  I am always guying their songs.

Lol, Janet.  Doesn't matter to me if it sounds the same, because I like it.  Joshua usually sounds the same too.  Over the top, dramatic...not my cup of tea.  I don't think it will sell records either, but we'll see.  I am not sure Phil will sell records either, at least not right away.  Jessica will probably be the biggest pop sensation of the 3.  I was reading something yesterday which was so spot on.  The female winners of Idol have largely done great things (Carrie, Kelly).  Even the others like Fantasia have never been dropped by their record label.  But the guys who have won Idol have largely done TERRIBLE.  Almost all of them have been dropped.  People like Lee Dewyze and Taylor Hicks have completely disappeared.  Can Phil or Josh do much better?  I am not sure they can.  Though I don't love Jessica, I do think she'll sell very well.
