I guess it's too much to ask to be paid the approx. $50 owed to me by a certain reporter from LA for scoping. I'm not even getting responses to my e-mails. Initials are L.T-W.

I just don't get reporters not paying scopists.  What is this industry coming to?  Seriously, that behavior is unacceptable.  If either of you want to send me a PM about who these reporters are, if they are on this website, they won't be for long.  That's all I have to say.

Actually, Laurie, I thought you were kidding when you posted that transcript; couldn't believe anyone would write that sloppy.  I guess you weren't kidding.

Delicia, Maybe we should start a support group. I've -- I believe -- recently been stiffed by a reporter as well. She keeps telling me "the check's in the mail" and I have yet to see it.  I told her I think the pony she sent it on died on the way here.  Oh, well, I think she needs the money more than me by the looks of her work product.  (I posted a sample on a discussion of Kelli's a while back).  She wanted me to charge scoofing rates for basically typing her transcript for her and I wouldn't do it, so I get nothing.  Shame on me.

What was I thinking, Mary Ann?  Haha!  Thanks for the kind words.  Hope you are well and taking good care of yourself!

You're sure right about that, Kelli!  :)

Thank you for the work you do, Delicia. Scopers are so crucial for our industry.

CSR Nation should be a good place to be referred to good-standing reporters (which is 99% of all reporters, in my opinion) who pay you promptly. I know Texan reporters are good for it!

Take care!

Delicia,

I am sorry to hear a reporter has burned you for $50.  However, it could be much, much worse.  I'd consider myself lucky I only lost that much money and not hundreds more, seriously.  $50 you can live with but a couple hundred is a different story.  Now you can focus your efforts on actual "paying clients" like me!  ;)
