Is there a site where we can warn other reporters about certain agencies???

I've been doing work for an agency who now owes me $7,000+ going back almost a year. I would hate for a reporter to take a job with this agency without being forewarned.....

Comment by Linda on June 28, 2013 at 15:40: Beware, there's one just like her in Topeka, KS.....and I'd be willing to bet even worse. And, she contacts (innocent victim) reporters and videographers all over the country to take jobs that she gets through all the national firms.

Comment by Cathy Clute on June 27, 2013 at 19:33: I tried it all. Was approached by a collections agency on this site and thought she had knowledge of our quirky business....she didn't. I spent so much time trying to get her up to speed on how we submit a bill to an agency, get paid more for copies, blah, blah, blah. The one thing I did accomplish was I contacted this agency's clients - as she said she wasn't paid for the jobs, therefore she couldn't pay me. They ALL said they paid her long ago - so I got affidavits and records from them for court.....and filled them in on the fact that she doesn't pay her reporters.

Comment by Janiece Young on June 27, 2013 at 19:23: Why would you be in small claims for $7,000? What is the limit for small claims in California? I would report them to the Better Business Bureau. I would also turn them in to credit agencies for nonpayment. Did you consider using a collection agent? I know you can't now but did you research that at all?

Comment by Kelli Combs (admin) on June 27, 2013 at 19:20: I know who this agency is. I would be surprised if they would have ANY reporters that would work for them at this time. They have such a bad reputation. They're nuts.

I had an email dialoge a couple of years ago with the owner and she was threatening to sue me because reporters were posting negative comments about not paying and it was obvious she was drunk and rambling on. Pretty pathetic/sad/scary.
