NCRA PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE -BUYER BEWARE!!

NCRA PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER ANY LOSS OF PROCEEDINGS DUE TO ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH EQUIPMENT.  RECENTLY I WENT ON THE NCRA WEBSITE AND CALLED THE COMPANY THAT THEY ADVERTISE SELLS PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE.  I ASKED THE PERSON WHO SELLS THE POLICY IF MY EQUIPMENT BROKE DOWN AND I HAD LOST EVERYTHING I WROTE IF I WOULD BE COVERED.  THE ANSWER WAS "NO."  SO IN THIS DAY AND AGE WHERE WE DEPEND ON TECHNOLOGY FOR A LIVING, IF WE HAVE A PROBLEM AND LOSE OUR WORK, WE CAN BE SUED.  SO IF I'M UNDERSTANDING THIS CORRECTLY, I BETTER BE AN LLC OR BE INCORPORATED.  SOMEONE SUGGESTED THAT THE "ONLY" RECOURSE IS TO HAVE THE MOST UPDATED STENO MACHINE WITH A CONTRACT SO IT CAN BE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY IF NECESSARY. THE PERSON SELLING THE POLICY DID NOT GET IT WHEN I ASKED THE QUESTION AND TOLD ME I COULD PURCHASE EQUIPMENT INSURANCE.  SO I ASKED FOR THE SUPERVISOR.   SAME ANSWER - NO COVERAGE.

I would think that E and O insurance would cover something like this.
