Our Lives Outside of Court Reporting

Hey gang, I think by now we've figured out that we're all a bunch of gung-ho reporters who enjoy what we do in the profession. But what do we enjoy doing outside of reporting? For instance, do you have a favorite wine or a particular type of food? Are you an artist or a musician?

I'll start things off. I play drums in a pipe and drum band. I also play golf, and enjoy bike riding. My favorite sports teams are the New York Yankees for baseball; The New York Jets and Giants for football; and the New York Rangers for hockey. I've tried tennis and I've done some rock climbing. My wife and I are active in my son's school. I'm also active in my high school's alumni association. As a family, we enjoy traveling and playing in the park.

So, I've thrown my hat in the ring. Who's next?

Oh, I'll jump in. I'm not shy. After all, I may be a gung-ho reporter, but I'm only doing this reporting gig to support my other gung-ho habits/hobbies!

I live a gluten-free lifestyle. Not so enjoyable, but mandatory nonetheless. Any other celiacs out there?
I've played the piano since I was 4 yrs old. Haven't played in recent years but hope to start back up again. More recently, my outside interests include photography, Japanese lanauge and the HAPA culture (half Japanese, half ____), SCUBA, snow skiing, and an overwhelming passion to help with Boxer rescue.

I don't have any children of my own, but I am an "auntie" to many. I prefer music over TV, and I have a crazy variety of music tastes -- from underground house to classical -- but I seem to be forever stuck in the '80s these days with satellite radio (XM/Sirius favorite station = "1st Wave").
