hmmm. court reporting and trucking, such a natural combination to have in a school, seems to me! I'm a mom, too, since '98. I sent you an e-mail a few minutes ago with more info about me.

Afternoon, Amanda,

Thank you for your inquiry. If you'd like to drop me an email, I'd be glad to forward you my bio. However, right now I'm absolutely inundated with trial work to get out over the next six weeks -- one reporter from MA, two reporters from CO, and my two CA reporters, one from down your way it looks like -- so I'm not able to take on any new work. But if I can be of assistance in helping you in your search for a scopist, please let me know.

Thanks again for your interest.
Rhonda

Hi Amanda,
I'm a student at Cerritos College (commuting from Riverside), and I'm trying to make arrangements to complete ten hours of court observation.
If you wouldn't mind, or you know another reporter in the area I should ask, please let me know.
Thanks for your time.

Forgot to give you that page number on -- forgot the name (murder trial). I have been moving my office all week. It is on my laptop, which was in the courtroom all week, not near the phone, which is now in Rebekah's old office, my new one, in a corner with a couple boxes on it, I think. :)

Don't know why I'm posting here. Know you're in AZ. I don't have your cell. # on me. Maybe l'll leave a message on your work number later today.

Hope you're having a blast. The weather has to be amazing!!

Ms. Forgetful. :)

Hi Amanda! It has been a while since I saw you, so I thought I would stop in and say hello! I see that you have a new beau! That is great! I hope it all goes well for you. I always thought you were too beautiful and smart to be single! Talk to you soon!

Amanda's in love. We all might as well rely on our fond memories of Amanda. :)

I had the crud, too. Who hasn't had the crud this season??

Took my six year old to the acupuncturist at the first sign of his crud, and he cleared up the day after his treatment. We all just lingered on and suffered through. Should have taken the whole family in for the same treatment.

Took needles right on the sides of his nose. Brave boy!

Well???

What's up, Valentine??

I hope it's going great! Can't wait to hear all the details!

Cut through your dept and Lisa said you had gone to the doc's. That stuff is the yucks! Cole has a good case of it. I've been downing the Airborne and doing acupuncture. I start to feel it trying to take over, and I just tell it "I don't have time for you!"

It's been working. Knocking on my screen right now. Hope that's as good as wood.

I hope you feel better soon. Your hot date is right around the corner!

Yes, I know Darla knew. I'm not going to say anything to her because I do believe she had my best interests at heart. That's all that matters to me.

She told me he would be going to trials after this assignment. Looking back, I think she squirmed a bit when she said it. I still think she did it for my own good. Guess it's nice having that much faith in a super, huh!

(Sorry, read my posts backwards.)

The judge says a lot can change between now and then, so we'll see. He says he wants a wide variety of assignments, like Judge C., so we'll see again. :)

TB treats him like crap a lot of the time, too, but I don't know if that matters to him. The new judge and old one will be a lot alike in a lot of ways. That's not all bad. I appreciate the fact that they both know their stuff, and I'll never sit there and think "What'd ya say that for??"

I had a tight lip on Thursday, and Friday I worked my old dept. for a breather -- thought big mouth wouldn't be there as he had been gone for four days, but I was wrong.

So I'll be smiling tomorrow again.

Thanks for all the nice words!

Oh, and I hope you feel better. We are actually trying to get the gunk at our house, too. I just keep telling everybody they are not getting sick. We are beautiful, and that's how we need to feel!!

That's my new massage therapist talking. I love her. She's the greatest! Talks about how beautiful we are all the time. It gets catchy!

Oh, you're too cute!! Made my Sunday. I don't know if kissing your screen voids warranty. That reminds me, though, that when I'd drop Cade off at preschool, a lot of days I would kiss his hand -- making sure I had fresh red lipstick on before I got out of the car -- so he could have kisses the whole day long.

He loved it. I'd kiss his hand, and he'd just gleam with joy, like he had something that none of his friends had. He'd look at it, hide his hand behind his back, and then look around the classroom smiling ear to ear. It was so cute. Hope I don't every forget those things.

201 is hectic, and I've been kickin' booty in there until Thursday. Got mommy withdrawals and decided I was taking my youngest boys to school. I hadn't been able to in a whole month, and it just hit on Thursday. Thought I'd get away with it, but no chance with TB. She sold me out. Didn't even leave a message on my phone, and yet called the boss and told the judge. We hadn't started on a Thursday before 8:45 since I started.

Leave a jerk deputy for a jerk clerk. I already knew it was going to be a problem, but I had to do it. I would have ended up quitting if I stayed in 203.

Love my new deputies, though. Curtis Curtiss (HA!!) hasn't been back since I told my new deputy I couldn't be in the same courtroom with him any more. He doesn't even peek his head in. It is so nice.

I've been back to being super efficient. Even put my printer in the courtroom and bustin' out the pleas right after they happen between cases.

It was the right thing to do, leaving. Guess Monterosso is supposed to go to family law (Hemet) the first of the year. Darla forgot to tell me about that. I think she knew if I didn't jump that I would quit, so I know she did it for my own good.

Of course I can't do Hemet, another two hours a day away from my family, so I just trust God's got a better plan for me up ahead. That's what we gotta do, right??

I hope your Valentine's Day is the best ever!!

Just in case you check this in the next couple of MONTHS, I just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you. I didn't even get to see you once this week, Actually, I think I did. You were just going out the door at the end of the hall towards the clerk's office, maybe. It's just a blur!

Hope love is good!

Well, I hope you find your "perfect match"! I was afraid you were going to say you've been too slammed at work to do anything else. At least you're getting some "you" time. Hope it works out for you and we can see you on the next eHarmony commercial!

GULP!!

At least I apologized before I corrupted you. Brenda's blaming me, too. She knew about it and was holding off, but I dragged her over. Oh, my, the guilt.

Hey, the gang at Depoman has been missing you, I'm sure, so I think they'll be glad to see you -- and now they have your pretty face to connect with. :)

Would you please tell me I don't have to go back tomorrow?? Hopefully I'm done crying. Spent all week trying not to think about it.
