You can always work in courts.

I was just intrigued by intellectual property laws and that is why I did the career change. I love IP law and love preparing patent applications. I'm not smart enough to practice IP law, as you have to be an engineer to be an IP lawyer, so I am doing the patent assistant thing.

Everyone is different so you just have to do what makes you happy. Life is too shirt to not do something you love.

Hi Denise. Thank you for letting me know about you. I am not ready to have a scopist right now. However, I am looking for proofreaders. Please let me know if you have any recommendations. Thank you. Brooke

Awwww.... That, alone, makes me want to befriend AND send you chocolate just because you DIDN'T ask! :D BTW, if that's your pic, you're quite the cute little kitten! ;)

Denise, I got your e-mail today. I'm glad you found me here on CSRNation. I can definitely forward your information to my reporters and anyone that asks for scopists (I get asked that frequently). However, we are still very small and not at all busy enough to take on an in-house scopist or proofreader. So forward me whatever info. you want me to pass on to others (your contact info, rates you charge, etc.), and I'll include you in my recommendations. By the way, I see you listed yourself also as a transcriptionist. Does that mean you are willing to transcribe cassette tapes and/or other audio recordings for our agency if we need you? We have a few clients that don't require certified reporters to transcribe audio files, so let me know!

I see I have a slight misunderstanding; it wasn't your sister, but your sister's husband. I am so sorry; Same condolences, of course. I asked you earlier about the Anaheim Convention and our National comrades. Also, the State convention will be in October which I will also attend and it's in Las Vegas. Will you be able to hang? Just wondering. Answer soon, peace out.

My Dear Sister in Christ,
Thank you for the honor of being your friend. One can always use more friends, especially with the Master up there watching to see if his most precious connect with each other. Let's not let him down. Well, thank you for your nice comments, and thank you for checking out my site and my responses to everybody. That helps me a lot, because I won't have to repeat. I'll assume you know of all that I've typed up, at least I hope. Well, I guess you should know by now that I write diatribes. Sorry about that, but I guess I keep trying to type as fast as I think, and that's pretty fast. I'll never catch up; but anyhow, I think I've noticed that you are in Orange county. I wonder will you be attending the Anaheim convention? I will be there for the first time....get that: almost 20 years and I've never been to a convention before. Well, I'm just happy to be among so many of my colleagues from all over the nation and our special assistants/helpers like yourself. I hope to see you there. If you don't plan on officially attending, just stop in and visit to see what's going on. We can touch base and maybe do lunch or something, drink or whatever. Nice way to establish business also. Think about it. I wish I could see you picture to see who my new friend is, but I guess in due time. Until we meet again, Peace out and may God Bless. Again, thank you, it 's all MY honor to be YOUR friend. You're special. P.S. -- My condolences also for your recent loss. I'm sure, from seeing how special and precious you are, that she is resting in the loving arms of our Lord & she is hoping that you don't worry about her, for she is in paradise now....you'll join her one day and I'm sure she'll meet you when you arrive. Peace out, Baby.

I'm sorry for your sister's loss. Remember to tell her to rejoice and look forward to the day that she WILL get to live with her husband again on the paradise Earth that is to come. (Matthew 6:9-13)

Hi Denise! Thanks for reaching out and saying hi. I've decided to move from a corporate career to scoping (after a good deal of research). I've completed my training, have my diploma, and have been working for months on practice files other scopists have sent to me.

I want to do this full-time, and am looking for that first break! This website has been very helpful in seeing what is going on and some of the challenges reporters have with their scopists.

I hope I added you as a friend correctly. Let me know if it didn't work! Teresa

Hi Denise,

I am looking to find another scopist as well as trying to find someone who can edit scope a transcript for me today, just a rough, and I need it by tomorrow morning. It's about 100 pages, and just need a rough. If you are available, let me know and obviously it's an expedited rate.
Thanks,
