Katy, that table was really a gray desk at Mom's. When I came by her house after a SJ job, she had it all set up with all that food - including the bowl of cookies she made - all for me. Who knows where that desk is now. Mom likes to switch it up!

How nice you had your son and grandson for the holidays! I bet there were plenty of toys for both of them lying around your place!!! Yes, work has been slow, but this week I have three jobs on so we'll see how it goes.

You've got to start in on Eclipse while it's slow. Don't wait until you're too busy to learn it! That's all the nagging I'm going to do - don't worry!

Are you asking about the table filled with the Christmas village? That's at Mom's, of course. I haven't put out anything in years, but this year Mom had lots of fun putting up her decorations. She emailed me last night that she took down her big tree yesterday. I just got back from there last night. Now I start to focus on all the stuff I've been yakking about these last few months: realtime macros, etc. What's your Eclipse status? Still in the box??? I'll help you out with it - don't forget! Katy, that's my Mom's yard. I don't know what those flowers are. She is partial to red geraniums so it could be that. She did have ranunculus in pots as well as dahlias, but they do only last one season unless you do special things with them. My house is in the redwoods in my slideshow. I haven't planted one thing! Good luck with your bulbs. I had many in my previous house. I do miss them. Maybe my next place ...

The drawback, Jenny, is you can't do outside depos if you're an employee. So, it's one half-day starting at 1:00 and two following days 8 - 5. Writing time averages about 2 1/2 - 3 hrs. a day. If there's a holiday that week, you and the other reporter get paid for one half a day. Full medical, dental, etc. If you have medical already, they'll add about $400 onto your paycheck. You could be called to work in the regular courts, but I don't think it happens too often. They got a whopping pay raise this year, too.

Katy, that sounds so tempting! I sitting here tweaking the LS. I feel I'm close, although I'm using this loaner. My own computer may have a totally different tran! Calling them is definitely on my list!

Katy, I drove right by there yesterday and thought about it. I really have been distracted by the LS and the fact that my HP broke and I've had to deal with two loaner computers until they fix it - again! It was "fixed" for one day only over a week ago. I haven't forgotten about it. They may not need anyone now, but I should put my name on a list or something. Thanks for the push in that direction!

Katy, I hope the slow work situation is not permanent! If I felt really good about the writer I was using, I'd look for more work - or maybe that's my latest excuse!

staring at your troll doll collection? - Katy, this cracked me up. I had a troll doll when I was ten. That's how I learned to braid hair!!! Hi, Katy, I just spotted you online here. I'm in the middle of getting some depos ready for mailing but am badly in need of a break! What's your latest with you know what? Have you had any time and energy to install Eclipse yet?

So happy to hear from you - and I'm ever so happy about your decision to tackle that Eclipse installation! No, I didn't have them send it to you, although I did think about it ...

Work has been slow for me this last week, but I'm busy trying to get ready for the Eclipse convention in Las Vegas. One week to go! Katy, how are you doing? Anything new with the Eclipse situation? I may be going to Fremont tomorrow afternoon to take a Tuesday depo. II'll be staying with my mom. I guess I should call her and let her know my plans! I'm still planning on contacting the place in Felton and the Santa Cruz reporters later, though. Hope you had a fun weekend.
