Glen, Your answer is at least ten years out of date.   Please refrain!  She is going to have all sorts of problems following the path you just sent her down.

Thanks, Glen! I knew you would come up with the answer -- you whiz! Hope you're doing well!

Hi, Denise.

You should be able to do that from the Dictionary Maintenance program ... and to get there, I believe it's at C:/Programs/Stenovations/digitalCAT/DictMaint.exe

When you have that one open, click the File menu and select Open, and you should be able to see your dictionary in the file navigation window ... so select it.

Next, hit the S key on your computer's keyboard. That should open a search window, into which you should type that PB-UR outline, and then hit Enter.

That should bring up the outline you're looking for. Once you see it, it should be selected, but if it's not, click it, and then hit the E key on your keyboard, and from there, you should be able to add the outline you want.

Hope that helps!

Can someone please tell me how to put the steno outline back in my dictionary?  I decided to make BUR a brief for about your, then I changed my mind and so I went back and left it blank for English translation and now when I'm writing nothing is coming up for BUR, no steno or anything.  I just got my machine out after almost ten years of vacation.  I miss my machine!!  Thanks

I am an experienced proofreader having read 700,000+ pages since November 2002.  I will critique and provide an errata for at least 15 random transcript pages at no charge!  Normal turnaround is 3 to 4 calendar days (often less).

Now proficient with proofreading using digitalCAT software with partial or no audio.  Now proofreading using iAnnotate upon request.

Heavy background in medical and legal fields and I once managed a California court reporting agency.

Please visit my website for contact information, additional rate information, policies, and unsolicited testimonials.  I am not listing my email in this post (and suggest you don't either) because they easily end up in the hands of spammers!

DigitalCAT scopist and proofreader available for full-time or part-time work. I can do regular turnaround as well as daily, and overflow orders. I was previously a court clerk for several years and am incredibly accurate and detail-oriented. For more information and a list of my rates, please feel free to e-mail me at any time.

I haven't been on here for a while, but was wondering if anyone in Digital Cat could use an experienced scopist? I need to pick up some hours and would love to make life easier for you. My email wasn't correct on here, so I'm not sure if anyone has tried to message me in the last year or so. I can provide references, so that would be better than taking my word, right? Thanks and have a blessed week!
