So, in the past six months I've read two books about cooking and I just loved them both, and am now looking for recommendations on more of this type of genre.
I read Julie & Julia, which they're in the process of making a move of. It's about a woman named Julie who decides to cook every recipe in Mastering the Art of French Cooking by Julia Child all within one year. It's very funny.
Also have read The Sharper the Knife the Less you Cry. About a woman who gets laid off of her job and decides to use her savings to live in Paris for a year and attend the Le Cordon Bleu School of Cooking.
So, any other suggestions?

Hi Mary Ann, I love the sound of Julie & Julia, can you tell me the author? Thanks.
Hey Michelle,
The author's name is Julie Powell. I will definitely give Chocolat a try. I love the title :) Thanks.
So, went and saw the movie for this particular book last weekend and loved it! It was so great I already want to see it again. Bon Appetit!
The movie was great! Our audience applauded at the end. Made me want to go home and saute something, anything in butter!
Did you try Chocolat by Joanne Harris? Beautifully written book.

I know this thread is super old, but I figured I'd comment anyway. :)

This isn't a book about cooking, but if you're into cooking at all, you should keep a lookout for "Eat What You Watch" by Andrew Rea. He's got an awesome YouTube channel called Binging with Babish where he recreates famous dishes from movies and TV. I'm super pumped for his cookbook.
