I have eight email accounts for our business, personal, family, etc., and with three different providers. I used to have them pushed immediately, but that drove me crazy. Now I have the setting search and push them to my iphone every thirty minutes, which is plenty for me. I will never look at another phone.

BTW -- I am getting e-mail notice of a posting, but it's coming twice. Is there something I can fix on that?

Monti: I've had iPhone for about 2 yrs. now. I've not had trouble with push on the iPhone. Do you have the Mail icon set up to Fetch New Data or turned on? It runs your battery down much faster, but brings in mail ASA it happens.

Also I am on AOL, and it does have a mobil mail that allows an icon on your iPhone that goes right to it and will stay open if you wish to access....however, I find the Fetch system is very smooth and fast. Maybe Gmail has a mobile aspect like AOL.

You find this -- and where to set up your mail -- under Settings icon/Mail -- about half way down. I actually have it set up to where I can get 3 e-mail accounts that I use. I've been very satisfied with it.

BUT WELCOME aboard to the iPhone Club. I really like this phone.

ok ladies, i cant believe I am conceding.. But after giving up on the first generation Palm Pre, I got an iphone and I must say.
after a little tweaking the iphone is hands down the best thing out there.
still BB is best for simple email.

After installing Navegon GPS software (which is $70) my new iphone has real GPS system.
I also had to buy Gpush, an application that pushs my Gmail emails to me.. so its real push email (like blackberry) but its not as smooth but it will do.

So yes, iphone is light years ahead of other phones in almost every aspect except emails (unless you use yahoo or mobile me then your getting native push like BB)

another negative for the iphone, so far I have plunked $620 compared to the $200 n my pre and not to mention the more expensive plan.
3.0 iphone software supports push on all applications which is the reason why I conceded and bought it.

Teresa, yeah, I was asking if you use Mobile Me.

I use Microsoft Outlook for contacts, calendar, and email. I've used it for years and don't know what I'd do without it. The iPhone syncs with it easily. I highly recommend buying it. It comes as a package with Word and Excel.

Marla, was your response for me re: Mobile Me? If so, no I do not. Do you download your numbers, info, etc. on another program? I use my iPhone a lot. However, I don't have my numbers stored anywhere else. Not good, I know.

I think what Verizon is supposed to be getting is the Apple netbook with 3G built into, not the iPhone.

I had to switch from Tmobile to AT&T to get it, but there was no love lost there. My hubby now share 1200 mins, which I didn't think would be enough but with the rollover mins turns out to work out great. I heard from Verizon they'll be getting the iPhone in February. Who knows if that's right, though.

How much do you love GPS? You can do a search for the word "gas," and it'll tell you where the nearest gas stations are. Makes me want to jump for joy.

I just bought an iPhone and I absolutely love it. Finally, I have my iPod and a phone together in one package. The only downside was I had to change from Verizon to AT&T, but that's okay by me.

No, but I've been curious about it. Do you?
