Writing out shortened/abbreviated numbers

Dollar amounts shortened and abbreviated like "fourteen six" to stand for 14,600, how would that appear in the transcript? 14-6,
14-6, 14,6, 14,6-, fourteen-six?

    I can't give you a reference to confirm proper format at the moment, but I've seen it written as 14-6. 

    ETA: That is, I've seen it written in a transcript, not necessarily in a reference book.
