Hi Peter, so how do you like reporting so far? Is it what you expected when you were in school?
  • Dawn M.

Really, Wow.... Do you feel that your making a good living. Also, can you work for more than one agency?
  • Dawn M.

Thats sooo true... You get paid for any extra copies also right?

THANK YOU SO MUCH, PETER, THAT IS ADVICE, THAT IS DEFINITELY AN EYE-OPENER...AND THE SCHOOL I STARTED WITH USED CASE CATALYST STUDENT BUT I TRULY WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT ECLIPSE AND THE TEACHERS CANNOT HELP YOU ON THAT NOTE...WELL, I DEFINITELY APPRECIATE THOSE TIPS MORE THAN YOU KNOW, ANY LITTLE BIT HELPS! HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY.
  • Peter

    you're welcome.

Peter, unfortunately, Case & Eclipse don't play well together. It CAN be done, but it requires formatting issues and stuff that is just more aggravating than what most want to deal with. There are some great Eclipse scopists out there, though. Keep looking, I'm sure you'll find someone!
  • Peter

Okay. Thanks anyway. I'm aware of the formatting issues. My agency uses Case and doesn't want to spend the money on Eclipse (how shocking) and so I have to send it o the in an RTF format which doesn't neccessarily match up and so they end up having some workk to do on their end.
  • Angela Sewell

Yes, I'd ben interested in doing a bit of scoping. Just let me know what you need/want.
  • Dale

    Hello Peter!
Welcome, I'm new here, also, Dale's my name, not yet licensed as CR, but 2/3 on my way there....glad to see you made it, and working in it!
Any advice you can give me would be helpful!
    thanks
    Dale

Practice daily even when you don't want to. Mix it up between listening to tapes and doing hard copy. Read your notes and find out which words you keep misstroking and then either make a brief or them tat you memoize or write five sentences a day every day for three straight weeks with these words in them so they become embellished in your brain cells.
  • Faye

Wish I could.. but I can't afford it, and no one's giving it away!
  • Janice

Hi Peter, I saw your photo on my homepage and thought it was great! I am just in the beginning stages of CR school. Which school did you attend and how long did it take you to complete the program? I also have Eclipse but have not used it other than for an online course in voicewriting - long story!
  • Stephanie

    Hi Peter,

Yeah, family is a HUGE part of my life! I'm still in school and haven't gotten far yet with the scoping programs. I am still learning and figuring all of that out. I would be so lost if I tried to scope right now lol At this point, I'm good for transcribing and editing. I'll keep in touch and see if you still need some help scoping when I graduate. Nice to meet you!
