We are into our 2nd week, give it some time, it should get very exciting
around here.
Just a heads up. if you look at the top of your page to the left, you
will see a person icon and a mail icon, click on the little guy and
add me to your friends list (assuming you would want to, lol).
also, you can send private messages if ever need be.
you can add pictures, music and videos to your page.
if you have any questions please let me know.
My email is kiuzzolino@gmail.com. Email me privately. I'll be happy to send you my rate schedule. I'm available for extra work when I'm not doing dailies, like today and tomorrow.
Hello Kathleen, long time no see.
Just a heads up, if you want Colleen to get your messages you have to post it on her page (I know its confusing)
All you have to do is click on "Comment back" on the bottom of their comment and it will take you to their page.
Sorry :P
P.S: A lot of people and doing this, I will try to find a fix for this.
the reasoning for this was if you wanted to post Specials or something.
Hi Kathleen! I see you're in NJ as am I. I, however, do not have 25 years of experience! I am just starting out, but have 25 years of prior business experience. I'm on CaseCAT 4.8. I've received a diploma from The School of Court Reporting and have made the decision to go into scoping full-time. I'm trying to get that first job. Any pointers would be great!
Congrats on your diploma. I really admire "second career" folks who can just go out and start all over.
This is a really tough business in which to be a "newbie." There are so many newcomers and not that many with sufficient experience. My advice -- keep your rates low and take absolutely anything that comes along. The experience will be worth it. Advertise on all the main CR sites that offer free advertising to scopists. Join some scopist yahoo groups and then network with other scopists. Take your time with the work you do get and make sure it's perfect -- don't rush through anything. Always be sure you know precisely when the work is expected back to the reporter and then make doubly sure to get it back even sooner than that. Stay away from expedites and daily copies for now. Too much too soon.
Best wishes. Let me know if and when you have any questions.

I am impressed with your background. I'm and official and CRR looking for an scopist. What kind of work do you normally do?
Thanks,
Colleen Miller

Are you interested in some extra work? If you think you might be, is there a way to find out your rates, etc.?
