I'm glad you've now seen my page so I can change it. Love yours. So reminds me of the ball gown I wore in "Cinderella." I just walked in from my divorce psychologist depo - I absolutely had to get a coffee milkshake in Los Altos on my way home. I really think I deserve it after listening to all that quoting of reports. Am I wrong??? I don't think so!
  • Mary

Ugh! Been slammed this week. And who can compete with your prettying?? Anyway, I gave it a very very feeble shot. Whatchathink?
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

    Wow! Coralicious!
I finally took a minute to change my page as I finished my 196-page psychologist depo - wall-to-wall and filled with quotes from various reports. Only one more to go. Just ate my first bowl of ice cream for the night while fast-forwarding through the Workout show. They're so yucky. If they could peek out from the TV, they'd be yelling at me, "Step away from the ice cream!"
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Ha! To read it again would be cruel and unusual punishment!
  • Marla Sharp

Ahhh, such lovely music on your page! I made a CD of my favorite soft classical songs to help me get through the LA traffic. It works every time. My blood pressure goes down, my grip on the wheel loosens.

So my boyfriend is from Salem, and we talk all the time about raising kids there instead of LA - if we ever get around to having them.

What's work like in Portland? Email me and let me know. marlavous@hotmail.com

So, came to see your page. How is work? I am taking a short break from my Parole Boards, lol. I did a Sr in HS photo shoot yesterday...would love to get more of those! They are fun! Will post one when I have time to edit them, lol. Have to finish my boards.

MIL's cousin was just in Oregon, I think her DD lives in Portland. I would think that's a pretty state.

    Ok, back to work! :)
  • Kelli Combs (admin)

    Oh Mama!!
Actually go to your editor and make all the text solid black.
    it should look much better.
  • Kelli Combs (admin)

I see the problem, you chose a different menu set up, so you have our menu set up and yours fighting each other up on top.
  • Lisa Moskowitz

I just knew that the little email ding alert had to be from a fellow West Coaster! My patience is admittedly low today after a horrible job that I walked out of after yelling at the attorneys for arguing at the same time all day. I'm going to post a sound bite tomorrow. But anyway, I couldn't believe what I read here and just had to say something. LOL!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Yippee, you fixed it! So pretty.
  • Wendy

Thanks! He was a big 'ol sweetie who talked all the time. Unfortunately, we lost him to something they couldn't diagnose (seizure and then paralysis) last year after only having him a year and a half from the shelter. I thought the other one would miss him, but no...he likes being the boss cat now! :)
  • Rhoda Collins

nice board! :) Have a great holiday weekend!

Brenda, so weird. I couldn't get in using my tabs in IE, but when I clicked on the IE icon which opened a new window, no problem! I'll have to remember that trick.
  • Tami

    BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!! back atcha!!

I've been in too much trouble lately with my big mouth. Trying to be good, bit . . . :)

    Miss you, too, Brenday!
  • Tami

You so nailed it long ago with "Tazi." Never been called that before, but it really is fitting. :)

I'm afraid if my family knew about it, they'd never call me by my name again -- because they'd sooo agree it's PERFECT!
  • Tami

    At 5:07pm on May 29th, 2008, Tami said…
Oh, yeah, I knew where it came from. That's what I meant about "fitting" and "PERFECT!" :)

We need to get those P users over on Depoman to post here about what a wonderful theory it is -- NOT!

Everybody that posted on that writing-out thread is a newbie. I hope at least some of the ones on the fence figure that out. You have Jenny starting it off, then you, then me, then Anthony F. -- who says he's entering the speed contest in '09, and some poor souls will still get turned in the wrong direction.

    Patience, Tazi . . .
  • Tami

Think I had my threads mixed up, but same story, different thread.

You're right, too funny. 60 wpm and already deciding she's going to write everything out.

We have to win them over s-l-o-o-w-l-y. :)

Can you tell I had some extra time on my hands today??

I did a really great 288 PC (child molest) prelim today with one of the best attorneys in our county. She's lightening fast and never misses a thing. Kept me on my toes, and I LOVED every minute.

Hope you have a great Friday!

    Smoochies!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Hi there! I'm leaving Mom's in 25 minutes - the car is packed. I've done nothing but check the forums and read two Enquirers all day! Oh, and pet the cats, of course. Hope you had fun this afternoon!
  • jayne

    Hello,
Excuse me but I have a question to ask about your post on inflected endings, since the question doesn't exactly pertain to endings thought I would ask it privately.
You mentioned "makes the reporter work for the software instead of making the software work for the reporter," could you please explain the difference? I do not use Phoenix theory, I was taught the school private theory and yes, my theory is very big on using asterisks in phrases, but I want to make sure my software correctly. I am currently using DigitalCat and hopefully in the near future going to be able to afford a Lightspeed.
    Thank you.

  • Wade

HI THERE! I'm here now too!! Thanks for referring me. I left a bit of a bitter rant in the PHX theory thread.
  • Wade

This one seems more fun than Depoman -- which is very serious. This is kind of like Facebook for reporters. I'll have to figure out how to make my page all cute and flashy like yours -- but I'll get there. First, I have to spend some time chopping up my theory. These poor, poor phoenix folks. What are we to do?
  • jayne

    Hi,
I send you a email because I am still not grasping the concept. Sorry

    jayne
  • Kyung

Yes. I guess we do have to be friends now. J/k.

I answered your friend request. So send me all the dirt. J/k again. :)
  • Kyung

I think you're asking a lot of the attorneys to keep a thought in their head for two seconds when they don't even know what's coming out of their mouths half the time.
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

    Beautiful, beautiful page!
Did you see that Monti put up the Send Files tab? So nice. I survived the dentist. I'm encouraging you to go and get it over with. Bought two donuts on the way home!!!
  • Tami

    Hi, Brenda!

    I've been MIA, huh!

Life's been busy. A good busy, though.

Next week is the last week of school and we are all STOKED!

I gotta get back to Jenny, too, but got to put my little one to bed. We slept in this morning, went to breakfast (at lunchtime), went to the movies and saw Kung Fu Panda AND Narnia, got home about 6:00, and my husband and I went back out to dinner at 6:15.

He had taken my two middle boys to work, so it was great having the one-on-one time with Cade.

Hope you're having a terrific weekend!

    Goodnight!
  • Mary

Ah, I LOVE those shoes, girl. Wherever did you find them *wink*??
  • Sue Baker

Hi, Brenda, love your page. Love the music. I am taking a little break here, listening to it.

I have an Eclipse question, maybe you'll see it over there, but I thought I'd try here, too. Have you ever had this happen? I shrunk my buttons on my global box.

I finallly figured out how I did it. While I was defining something, I tried to use a text attribute at the same time I had the box open, hit a control hyphen and it makes the box teenier and teenier. Well, you can resize part of the global box using the UI font in the Display menu, but that only makes the text bigger in the blank for the word. The buttons remain itty-bitty and I can't seem to figure out a way to get them back. Support didn't have any ideas. Thanks.
  • Sue Baker

This morning I took a stab and it worked, and lo and behold, Bob had replied to me in the wee hours on Eclipse forums. I guess it's probably a Windows thing, but you can fix it by control +. Duh. Minus and plus.
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

    Love your page!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Brenda, I'm back home now. Check out my page before I change it!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Brenda, Hi! I have five minutes to brush my teeth, get dressed, pack the car and go. Think I'll make it? Check in with you later!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

You know what I have written on my calendar, don't you? I couldn't see your page this morning on my Dell - only my HP gives me the visuals. Can't even do a spellcheck on the Dell. I was on time this morning, but the attorney was 10 minutes late. Such a cute page!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Brenda, how awful you have no Internet! How rude they didn't tell you about trial! How great you can have your coffee and be on the Internet at the same time! I'm thinking of doing my exercise tape. Should I? I just learned today on my job to write exercise KP-FR! Okay, I'll stop exclaiming now.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Wowie - it's your happy, happy birthday today!!! I'm sending you mucho positive energy and best, best wishes to add to this most excellent day (and to help you get over the hump of this particular birthday)!!!
  • April Floyd

A little Jenny-birdie told me it was your birthday today. Happy, happy birthday! I hope you're treating yourself to something very nice!
  • April Floyd

I absolutely am going to try out Jenny's LS. I can't wait! I've been dying to check it out since I first heard of the trippy machine. I'll let Jenny fiddle with it for a while, though. You know, my pattern is to let Jenny go first and go through all the work to research and fine-fune, and then I just come in and reap the benefits. How lucky am I?!

Have a wonderful, tasty dinner tonight and enjoy your family!
  • Tami

    Are you proud of me???

Took the plunge. Need a laptop now, though. Hope that doesn't hold me up. I'm definitely not loading the software on my old one.

Love the new pics you added. Might have been a while back, but they are new to me.

You must be busy lately. That's a good thing, I think. :)

We'll be flying right over you on Tuesday for our Seattle trip. I give you a little wink when we're over Oregon.

    Have a terrific week, Brenday!
  • Tami

Oh, Happy Birthday!! A bit late, but at least I said it in the same month!

I saw April's post. Wish I had a little birdie!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Wow, Tami's pics are great! Everyone looks like they had a great time. I'm anxious to get Barb's report. Did you see her in Tami's group photo? She's kneeling in the front. So cute. I've been really bummed while scoping that last job. It's almost as bad as the sample you showed me and Tina, but it's 150 pages!!!
  • Tami

    Sorry, Girlfriend! It's a CURSE!!

I appreciate the mess you've gotten me in. I'm so excited. One day I think my CR life is over. Almost two decades later I'm buying the latest techno out there.

    Life is good!

Thanks, Brenda, for getting me there.
  • Karen A. Jones

Like I need another forum to learn the how-to's of. And what's with the grins here? I put them in another post and they don't show up. So how can someone tell I'm joking?

I could've spent all night with the photos, but stopped at your future SIL's. LOL!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Brenda, I've turned into a CSR Socialite - just like you!!!
  • Tami

    Hi, Brenda,

I answered you over on Depoman, and then when I checked back my post wasn't there.

I write most of the like Greg, without the long vowel. I forget what else was being talked about, but I just didn't want you to think I was ignoring you.

Hope you have a terricif week!

And a terrific one, too. :)
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

    Still slaving over here! http://digitalgallery.nypl.org/nypldigital/explore/dgexplore.cfm?topic=science&collection=NatureIllustratedFlo&col_id=184
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Brenda, So happy to see your pic! I actually feel partially responsible for such a great shot of you! If you've changed your background, I can't see it. Not until I get my wireless fixed on my HP. I am unable to see anyone's background pages as my Dell just doesn't have the capability for some reason. Gee, I guess I could ask Dell support about that ...
  • Janice McMoran

Hey, Brenda! Every time I check this site, your background is different! I think you must change it as much as you change your shoes!

Nice picture. You look so different in every picture I see of you. I just don't get over here much, but Lisa M. left me a comment, so I popped over here. She needs help creating a slideshow. I forgot how to do it. I thought maybe you could help her out.
  • Lisa Migliore Black

    Thanks for the tech help!
  • Michelle R. Williamson, CSR

I have a LS question for you. I got my fancy white LS at the Texas convention in June...but it's just not growing on me like it seems to for a lot of other people. I'm very frustrated at getting my key sensitivities adjusted, and I'm seriously considering sending it back if I can't make it work for me. I've only written on a SmartWriter since 1991...and it still works like a charm. The touch on the LS is just so vastly different from my SmartWriter that my writing STINKS whenever I try to use my LS. And I'm too afraid to actually take the LS on a job since I do a lot of rough ASCIIs and realtime/rush work. Any suggestions?? I would really love to know any tips that you might have that would help me get better adjusted to my LS. I really wanted to lighten my load, too!
    Thanks, Michelle :)
