Yes, I know, you're a recovered crack lover -- now that you don't have cracks, pretty much. :)
Is that you with Lisa on her page?? Did she visit you??
Maybe I need to ask her about Portland, too.
What month in the summer is best to visit?? Is it like Seattle and has a very short window on the rainy season?? Can't be as bad, I'm sure.
Seems like I remember she went to Seattle not too much earlier than we did.
I had the greatest trial today. I thought it was going to be good, so that's why I asked Clay to come out. He enjoyed every minute, too. Too long to tell the story, and it could never sound nearly as great on paper, but, man, I love reporting. It is so much fun!!
Last week's trial we had a Perry Mason moment, too. Think somebody just needs to pinch me. I am such a lucky girl!
Hey, I just saw where my sister-in-law joined. We're married to brothers. My husband's bro is ten years younger than him, and Adele was another three years, I think, younger than him, so he knew how much I loved my job and turned Adele onto being a CR.
She's an awesome reporter. I just started winning her over to the dark side a couple years ago. She was extremely stubborn -- admittedly -- but now sees the light.
She is an awesome reporter, an RMR and CRR, and I think she thought if it ain't broke, why fix it.
Anyway, I'm so happy to see her here. I'll get her over to the Brief Club sooner or later. :)
I didn't really think of it as a destination really either until Seattle, and then seeing it on The Amazing Race really piqued my interest. (That is really cool you're getting everyone to visit.)
My husband is supposed to go on his first fishing trip in August. I think that's the end of August. Maybe I can talk him into the first part of August.
I didn't word that right. I never have to talk my husband into any vacation. He loves vacations. :)
Thanks, Brenda! Love your page too!!!!! As always, you do FABulous work out here! And I gotta tell ya, I've seen the Elf-yourself clip a few times now from different friends/families, and every time I hit that play button, I crack up through the entire clip! I feel like I'm one of those study chimps in a lab, being watched at how many times I'll actually hit the play button and then laugh my butt off! What can I say, I'm just addicted to goofiness! Too cute!
Brenda, I woke up at 10:00! Did you see that tomorrow is Lorna's birthday? She just returned the Grand - bummer! Got lots of proofing to do - may not finish. And more LS testing at 35%! Did it warm up much over there in your neck of the woods?
I may spend the day in a hot bath. What a great idea! I'm hoping the roads clear up later today so you can get to that job tomorrow with ease! I actually wore my wool hat yesterday morning while in front of my computer downstairs!
Just a quick note to say thank you so much for the Christmas card and wishing you and yours (human and feline :) a wonderful holiday season and a happy and peaceful new year!!
Wow, you're so creative! All my powers are going into finishing up here so I can leave early Tuesday. I won't be back until Friday! More on that later. Here's a suggestion: Post a new deal in Total Eclipse group about the wonders of Translation Magic and how simple it is to use. Then post another one about where to look in Eclipse to see what version you're on, and tell them the current release version. Make sure you tell them they must already be on 4.2 before they update. Kate, on my page, had never heard of TM or GM!!! I could cry and spit at the same time. Not very ladylike! That ought to garner you a few points! Gee, I better look up "garner."
Just popping in to thank you for the Christmas card, you CSR socialite, you!
So, how's the weather up there? (just kidding) I can't even begin to imagine how cold it is. I'm freezing my hiney off at 50*. I've officially gone into hibernation mode; won't come out 'til spring.
Here's wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas and hoping Rudolph knows the way to your house!
I had no idea there was that much snow!!! A picture is worth ...
I hope you have your hat on right now. Please tell me you have enough food in the house - and not just Dots!
I HAVE NO DOTS!!!! WAAHHH!! Gee, sorry to bring that up! Yes, Christmas will be quite different this year for your family. I feel so sorry for your sister - taking the time to leave, leaving, and then turning around and going back home. Well, it makes for a good story, I guess, for a future Christmas dinner! "Remember the time we left to come over and ..."
I'm sorry to hear your Christmas plans are put on hold. That's a bummer. My family gets together on Christmas Eve, so I'll be home alone pretty much all day on Christmas (working, more than likely). I'll be sure to drop in and keep you company.
Brenda, I just read you're delaying your Christmas plans! Will you still hang out with your folks or continue to hunker down with the heater cranked up and your hat on while churning out all your work and finishing up all those projects you've put off because you're normally so busy with your kids and Christmas pie baking? How's that for a long question???
Brenda, I'm sure I don't need to tell you to be extra careful while walking in the cold. I can't help myself. Yesterday after my three-hour depo, I visited my friend Carol, who was still hobbling around after a fall she had while running after an escaping dog she was walking for a friend! No falls! Mom has just served me my eggs and toast - she also just tucked a blanket around my stocking feet! What a good mom I have! Later!
Thank you for the wonderful card! My husband sometimes calls me a raven because I just love glittery, sparkly things, so your card really enthralled me!
Your site here is also gorgeous! And great photos!
It sounds really, really cold where you are. I'm sure Jenny has given you all of the admonitions - hats, gloves, be very careful, and especially eat lots of chocolate. (Oh, hot chocolate. Yum!)
I tried you first. Now I'm going through one at a time. There has to be an easier way, but it's nice because I get to visit everyone's pages. Yours is always one of my favorites, of course!
So thankful right now to be able to spend time with my family, even though my heart is breaking for my girl. I haven't seen her since a year ago Thanksgiving, and she isn't making it this way tomorrow. Hopefully I can get to see her by spring break. I really am missing her soooo much.
Brenda, I'm helping you collect some extra points! I just sat here with ice under my eyes to hopefully lessen my huge bags!!! Now I trowel on the makeup and leave at 8:00. Enjoy your evening in the white peace. My new birdy pic is from Aunt Virginia and Uncle Stanley in Washington. They're staying put as well! Please send me some "don't blurt out the wrong note" vibes! I'm sending you some "nice weather for Portland, please" vibes back!
Yay, Ms. Elite! Great Christmas present!!! The service went really well. I blew it several times, but nothing anyone but the soprano next to me knew. There were still only three of us. A good crowd to sing for - maybe 100. This morning should be more. It started to rain just when I got back to Mom's - at 1:00!!! She's fixing my eggs now - gave me my coffee. When that kicks in, I start over piling the makeup on. Luckily, the lighting isn't very good in the huge room! Have a wonderful time hanging out today with your family. I'm so glad the weather is starting to cooperate! Yes, Brenda is joyful - so nice! (I can see you're keeping Santa hours!)
Brenda, Hanging out with Mom. She made a chocolate cake today. Big mistake! It's half gone and our dinner is tomorrow. I asked her what veg she has for tomorrow, and she says she got one bunch of asparagus, and she's making mashed potatoes, which is a vegetable. There's celery in the stuffing. I guess if I wanted something special, I could make it myself. Ha! We had another good show/service this morning, and you can bet I took a long nap when I got back! Did you have a great meal - even though it was rather spontaneous? Get any good gifts, or will you wait till your official Xmas with the kids before opening anything???
Brenda, that pie sounds divine! I may pester you for your recipe later, but I know there's lots of skill involved too. You must have the touch! I just made canned yam coconut casserole. You know, the one that's on the can! I'm really worried Mom doesn't have enough food for tomorrow. She happened to have three real sweet potatoes and one big can of yams so that = my first attempt at reading a can and helping to cook! I microwaved it, and it actually is pretty good! I made fried garlic asparagus and am boiling the potatoes now for mashing. Mom is trying to learn how to play free cell. I see another addiction in the future ...
Brenda,
Thank you for the Christmas card. I hope the snow is getting cleared from your area so you can get out and about again. You must have been getting antsy, but I'm more concerned about Clemmy. ;-)
Steve is trying to convince his sister to leave her kids here until Jan. 2. She and her husband have to get back to work, so Steve said he'd fly the kids back as a Christmas present.
Ha! That was fun. I was reading April's comment on my page when your card popped up! I know this says something about us - the fact that we're doing this on New Year's Eve! But I'm not going to obsess! I'll save my obsessing for next year ...
Beats going out in a foot of snow. - Sorry about that! Next time I'll check a weather site for your area before asking. Have fun - it's good you're getting out of the house. I should do the same!

I get so many junk messages in there -- all things I signed up for -- that it's hard sometimes to pick out the important stuff.
I'll have to ask Lisa about her trip up there. Does she have family up there??
Besides you, I mean. :)
