Brenda, I did something very impulsively after my short, short depo. I bought the HP mini laptop! I'm waiting for a call from tech support to ask a few questions. I went in looking at the Acer Aspire One, but this was able to get 2 gigs of RAM - which cost a total of 80 to purchase and install as the chip was on sale. Not sure how I'm going to deal with the USBs yet. My phone conference better be on the long side tomorrow to pay for this!

Brenda, I'm still loading software over here. I can't figure out how to get the Sound Professionals mic to load so I've emailed them. I copied the CD on a flash, but just get an error message when I click on the application. Do you know anything about that? Last night around 3:30 when I woke up - one of many times - I had what I believe was a song from your page stuck in my head! Yep- just tested it out. The Frank Mills. Thanks a lot!!!

He actually got back to me - the Sound Professionals man! So now that's working. I'm about to test RT with the Stentura using the Belkin and serial to USB connection I also loaded in. Gee, I hope this works!

I've totally exhausted myself loading this computer and testing. My room looks like a bomb went off in it. Now to download the dev version and test it out a bit.

Then I'm going to download my Olympus disk - hopefully! In between this HP, I'm reading the cutest book. I told Lisa O about it. It's called A Girl Named Zippy. You and your daughter would like it, I know. I read the sequel first. They're both very amusing - and I know we both need a few extra laughs!

Brenda, I'm going nuts! I can't find an important tax file. It's so huge it's got to be here under all this mess. Been working all day even though Alan is gone. What a waste of TiVo time! Can you help Sue at all. I think all she needs to do is stick that EnglishCommon in her EclipseNT folder, but I'm not sure!!!

Man, I'm really losing it! I finally found my file, tossed in a basket. It was smaller than I remembered. I didn't do my 1099s yet. I thought I had until the end of the month. If you know, please tell me. If not, I'll have to do some serious rushing around as the deadline may be tomorrow! This is what happens when you do to much buying and installing of small computers and constant testing on the LS and now the Grand (which is really coming along!)

To tell you how bad I am, I just realized I didn't mail out - or even finish up - an easy WC job I took on the 22nd. They didn't need it in a hurry, but other issues pushed it right out of my mind! That's my story, anyway!

Hi Brenda ~ just saw your post on depoman about the LS and the single v. basic thresholds. Okay, didn't know there was a difference and I always just change my settings in whatever default one the LS puts me in when I open it. Should I be making adjustments in both basic and single? I CANNOT get my intial H to stop showing up when the speed picks up and my final N seems to be there when I don't want it and not there when I do. My -TH is a mess too (TSDZ) rarely do all four show up. It's driving me batty because I feel myself write a word correctly, thinking I hit all the keys just right, and I'll watch an untranslate appear (thank goodness E gets them right most of the time.) John Sims told me told my single-key (I think~ or maybe it was basic) should all be between 700 and 900. I changed them right after he said that and tried it that way. Translation was terrible. I'm back w/ my old configs and am constantly tweaking these keys between the single and combo tabs, but now I want to make sure I'm tweaking the right one.

Was wondering if you can tell me anything about Version 4. Someone on this site is selling it and I'm not sure if it's wise to get something like that and does it have features such as global magic and translation magic and all that good stuff. I am doing a quick run through of my depo this afternoon. it was a doctor in San Jose. It was so fast I could barely look at my computer screen. The good news is there were four attorneys in the room and one on the speakerphone, and they all want copies. The bad news is I needed to adjust my final T on the Grand. So instead of the word not I get no! Oh, well, if I only get one job this week, it's nice to have an 0 and 5!

I can be a bit of a pain, but that's a great pic! Very chic!!! Going to the chiropractor this morning and picking up my new orthotics. I'm hoping to see an improvement in the way my knees feel after exercising as my old orthotics are quite old.

Wow, I really like your black background shamrocks! Very sharp! I've got 20 pages to go on my doctor job I took last week. There are NO jobs for me next week at all!!! This doctor job is slow going as it was very fast and the doctor was hard to understand. Mumblemouth! Thank goodness for the audio - which I resent, too, as it takes so much longer.
