    Hi Julie,

It's always great to hear about someone interested in helping me with my transcripts. Things have been a little slow because of the holidays and/or the recession. Who knows which it is. Normally I am crazy busy and need the help. I will send you a job in the next couple days. It will be regular turnaround. Thanks, Tracy

Hi, Julie. Thanks for the birthday message.

I haven't been reporting very long and am trying to clean up my dictionary as I get along here, but it's always good to know there's a scopist out there to help out if needed. Have a great Friday!

Hi, Lisa. I'm a scopist also. I have Case CATalyst, but have scoped Eclipse files successfully in my system. I'm just wondering what the benefit of having the same exact software is. Is it hard to learn all of them or are they pretty much the same (as far as commands and such). Thanks

I started scoping 15 years ago. The first system I bought was Eclipse because it was supposed to be compatible with all CAT software at the time. They were using RTF. I never had a whole lot of success with anyone wanting to work with conversions way back then so I stuck to having the system the court reporter had. I had Premier Power which was pre-Case Cat. It was their DOS Cat Software. Then when they went Windows I bought CaseCat. Then I learned of DigitalCat because it was soooo much cheaper than all the others.

They are not that hard to learn since they all kind of build their functions on Windows type functions. They all have their little tricks. I prefer Eclipse and did most of my work for a long time using Eclipse, but lately all my work has been coming from reporters on DigitalCat. I know how expensive it is to try to own so many software and learn them all. Now that it's 15 years later I could probably use just one software since they've worked out all the bugs.

    Hi Julie,
Rainy all day today, and kinda windy. I'm really looking forward to a warm spring!
  • Joan Hurtis

Hi! actually, I'm pretty steady with my regular reporters right now. If I happen to get jammed up next week, I will contact you to see if you can take any overflow. Hang in there. Joan

Hi there, Ms. Julie! How are you? I've had a string of cancellations and nonappearances. March was quite dead...ugh! Hopefully April will start to pick up again. I'll keep you posted.

Anything will help right now. Thanks for thinking of me. =)
