Hey, Linda, Hope you enjoy this site! Join the Total Eclipse group when you get a chance!

I answer to anything, especially my sister's name, April. She's on this site as April Floyd. I don't realtime to anyone - YET. The Stenocast X7 is expensive. I am only hoping to need it in the future. There are some new options out from that company. I heard about the new stuff on CRF. See if this helps any. I didn't read it all.

When I get on this site, I go first to the main page, then I look to see what others have been doing and scoot around from there. There's lots to check out!

There is a group here called Elan Mira Users. If you search for those three words, it should pop up. Otherwise, you can find it on the main page, groups tab. It's on the last page of the groups. It would be great if someone on there knows of a fix.

I sure wish you luck with that. When I talked with Eclipse support today, he told me it most likely was my firewall that caused my job to freeze. I had forgotten to turn off my virus protection. Normally I do that. I normally do not turn off my firewall, but I will from now on! I also do turn off my wireless switch on my actual laptop. I don't suppose your problems have anything to do with your virus protection or firewall, right?

By the way, your picture is great. I love to look at pictures!

Great pics! Absolutely adorable children - and dog!

That should tell me whether or not my adapter is bad. Yes, that would be great if you can pin it down like that. I'm getting behind in my work now. I turned down a job for tomorrow afternoon from a new firm as my elbows are still bad, and I just realized part 2 of a depo I reported almost two weeks ago is this Thursday. That job isn't done yet!

Those kiddos are the sweetest, I agree!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Waaaaaaaaaa!!! I was so hoping you'd get that straightened out easily! I'm also sorry to report that I had problems myself today on my terrible, terrible part 2 of a depo. My Eclipse froze right before we started. And I got there 40 minutes early! So I kept them waiting while I rebooted. I tried to then use the serial cable deal on the Grand instead of Bluetooth, but then it wouldn't connect. I quickly unplugged it, stuck the BT back in, and it worked! I kept them waiting five minutes at least. Hate that! It didn't freeze again, but I can't deal with this kind of stress. Speaking of stress, the deponent at the lunch break went to her doctor to get more blood pressure medication. He took one look at her, checked her PB - it was over 200. He told her she couldn't come back and continue the depo and gave her a double dose of medicine. Poor thing! She's such a high-strung motormouth. I'm really concerned about her. So if you haven't taken your PB, please do so. All these computer problems are bad for our health! I don't know when I'll have time now to call Jason with the Grand - or Eclipse support. Maybe Tuesday ...

Linda, I do have only XP. Last summer I had three different Vista loaners. I am sticking with XP as long as I can. No, I am only working this weekend. My place is a mess, and I am behind as well. I am kind of happy to say I am behind as this means I took a few jobs. Three weeks ago I was completely caught up!

Tomorrow I will go to my sister's to see if I can fix her HP Mini and eclipse. For some reason she is unable to write real-time. It just freezes on her less than one minute into the job. It could be the cable, although it used to work for me perfectly fine. It could be her ini is corrupted somehow. There are so many different reasons. One more computer mystery and hassle to be solved! She's April Floyd on this site. She started reporting when she was 19. Actually got her license when she was 19!

I hear ya about the sanity thing! Now we need to be computer experts as well as reporters! You are more of a maverick - going with a Mac! I never had a freeze issue before last week. I suppose it's possible it's the version of Eclipse I'm on. It's the 4.3.0.6. It hasn't been released yet. I guess I'll go back to 4.2.0.8 for a while. I hate to, though, as I love my AB preferences and the fact that it now will remind me of what's in my own dix when I ask it to. You'll learn so much in Vegas! I'm jealous!!!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

because I don't trust anything or anybody - Ha! That makes me feel a little better - like I'm not the only one!

I feel our problems are separate issues, but I'll still try the release version. It will be interesting to hear if others report you similar issues in LV. Will you see a show while you're there? What will your husband do while you're in class?
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Oh, you'll have fun with a friend as long as they know you'll be in class all day. Debbie and I had no plans to see a show, but they're so good over there. I think I told you before that we saw Mystere. So great. There's a place where you can get last-minute tickets. Ask anyone at the hotel, and they'll tell you. I hope you've started your walking program already. Did you learn anything at the fitness center the other day? Tell me anytime. I always ask questions but know how hard it is to get stuff done. Sometimes sending a comment back can be a burden! Fake & Bake? Take a pic and post it!

It will be there next week. - So funny - I'm always telling myself this truth!

Glad to hear you've got a massage scheduled. Very, very smart! Class reunion? So much added pressure. I had one in '04. It was a combo with a few years above mine. Saw lots of people - stressed out about what to wear. Took my friend Debbie (see below!) shopping with me, and she finally understood my shopping complaints. "Jenny, you're right. Nothing does fit you properly. Your proportions really are off!" Duh!!! She can say anything to me because I've known her since the fourth grade.

The thing about the tanning beds is ... you know. A few years ago I stuck my face in one of those machines that print out the sun damage and wrinkles on your face. I forget the name. Anyway, it was truly shocking. That's when I really started cracking down on the sunscreen. I'd love to do it again, but I can't find one of those machines. It was free at Sephora for a while. I thought you might be doing the spray tans. A massage therapist friend of mine used to do those. She sprayed Paris Hilton once when Paris was in SF! I've never tried it.

Good health is a big deal. I told Lisa O'Sullivan on this site last night that I'm giving up ice cream again for a while. Some depoman posters are on a diet race together. It's inspiring! Good luck to both of us on our destressing, healthy plans!

Speaking of depoman, Chuck is complaining about his LS frustrations ...

Straight and narrow??? It really helps to have someone else trying to change old (bad) habits. Sure. I'll tell you I'm going to do my one-mile tape at least sometime today. You'll be walking around doing errands. If I don't do my tape, I will confess to you tomorrow! I have a pedometer that needs to be calibrated. My postal worker acquaintance, Susan, has been doing four miles every day. She's trying to lose the weight she put on when she quit smoking. I saw her walking to work at 7:30 as I was driving to my job on Thursday. She's losing a pound a week! Let's try together. Try, but not super try. We're a little too stressed right now, right???

My first confession: I had two bites of bittersweet chocolate with my second cup of coffee. No sugar in my coffee, though! Now I'm going downstairs to start working. It's a gorgeous day here. There's a big street deal in town this weekend. I've never gone to it in the ten years we've been here. There's a 50-50 chance I'll check it out this time.

If you look at the pic, we're way up the hill on the right side. It's a one street only town!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

I did have a few more bites of the chocolate, but I just finished doing my two-mile Walk-Away-the-Pounds tape! It's 30 minutes. I sure didn't want to, but I told you I'd do something today, so I forced myself! Hope you had a fun day!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

Linda, just saw your ad. I hope it goes quickly! Today I do my exercise tape again. However, I have been eating some Klondike Bars! I imagine you are in the race to get packed for your trip!
  • Jenny Griffin, RMR CRR CCRR CRC

No, no, no! Banish that stress!!! I'm so sorry to hear about your equipment still giving you problems. I can only hope someone helps you out in LV. You'll have a great time. Don't worry over what clothes to bring. Nobody cares. That's what I found out. The days are so intense that the mind is gone by lunchtime. Do you need all the points from the classes? If not, you can wander and rest a bit more while you're there.
