Yes, she's a very close personal friend of mine, Rebecca. Do you know Carm yourself?
  • Michelle

Oh my God!! Hi Becky, as your mom calls you ;) How funny is this. She just left us last week, she's been working here with us for quite a while - I'd be lost without her. She wasn't on CSRnation up till last week anyway, but I think we'll definitely have to get her on board now ;) Great to talk to you. Should you need anything feel free to give me a call
  • Rebecca Blasco

Yeah, Mom's great and she LOVES Ireland. I would love to see her and Dad move back there permanently; they really enjoyed life while there.

It's funny, you know, because when I saw your name on here I was like, Why does that sound so familiar to me? Then I saw "Wicklow" and I realised that you had to be one of Mum's friends.

Sorry; don't mean to be schizophrenic with my spelling. I spent five years working at the British Embassy and it really did a number on my spelling and vocabulary.

    Hi Rebecca,
Noticed your "puppy" pic. I'm a reporter in So Cal but I'm on Total Eclipse. Good luck finding/meshing with a reporter. Sorry to hear about the CTS. Bummer.
I've got my own 4-legged gang goin' on here in Orange County. I just uploaded a bunch of pix on my page if you want to check my little guys out :)

That boy is six months old?! Wow. And I complain about picking up after my three little ones AKA Tootsie Roll factories:) Never again.
    Take care.

  • Rebecca Blasco

Wait till you see his brothers! I have a boy so big you could fit "Doc" inside him and not notice. . .
  • Stephanie

lol Thanks? I don't know if that's good or bad? :D
  • Rebecca Blasco

If you're a Bulldogger, it's good. If you're a bad guy it's really, really bad!

American Bulldogs are very protective of their own families and don't tolerate strangers in their space. They're especially good family dogs because your kids become their kids and they will protect them no matter what.

I have a special needs daughter, and you would think with their size and agility this would be a problem. Not so. They are SO gentle and so careful with her, it's just amazing. I have one boy, my daughter's dog, who, poor guy, is always covered with lipstick and nail polish and fuzzy hats, wrapped up in blankets with pillows, etc. She tells him to lay down like a baby and he will. He will cry if he can't sleep with her. He totally understands that even though her body is eight years old, her mind is only three.

Hi, Rebecca: I am looking for a new proofreader on Catalyst, as I like to send my proofer a ZIP file and have changes made directly to my file. My current proofreader has gone back to work at a law firm and can only take my shorter jobs. Would you send me your rates, turnaround time, etc.? My e-mail address is lindseystacy@yahoo.com

    Thanks!
    Lindsey
  • Lindsey Perry

Wow, you're quick! So you do use, Catalyst, right? One of my favorite things about my old proofer was that she could restore the ZIP file I sent her into her software, make the necessary changes and send me the ZIP file back. I could then just 'restore' it into my software and add my cert pages. Easiest transfer possible. Plus, she had my audio, so if she had any questions, it was right there. What do you think?
  • Carmelita Lee

he's happy enough I guess. used laptops are not a great idea, beck, because you never know what problems someone else had. if you can get a refurbished from a factory, that might be better. mom
  • Lindsey Perry

Great. I'll get back to you when I have something for you. I wrote 270 pages today... so that will need to be proofed at some point!
  • Carmelita Lee

no, where do I find it?
  • Erica Abbott

Hi, Rebecca. I was actually wondering what kind of dog you have there. We have a 2yo female great dane named Niah:) I am a GREAT lover of large dogs. lol,
  • Erica Abbott

Thanks:) My husband is actually selling furniture at the moment. Not really what he wants to do, but he's good at it. He is very artistic though and thinks he wants to do something with photography or with music. He already plays MANY instruments. lol. Some of his group's music is on www.myspace.com/nameourband if you're interested. It's all just for fun though:)

What about your family and your life? Do you do anything special with those lovely pups?:)
  • Erica Abbott

lol. Just thought I'd tell you their real website is www.myspace.com/helpnameus. lol. You'd think I would know my own husband's web page. geeze (I used to be blonde. lol)
  • Erica Abbott

That's okay. I seem to keep misplacing all of my flash drives AFTER I back up all my pictures on them. lol. At least you know where yours are!
  • Danielle

Hi! I am a brand-new reporter looking for a proofer. Can you send me your rates? dkoupal@gmail.com Oh, and I am on Case as well. Let me know. Thank you!
  • Danielle

  • Tara Martin

    Rebecca,

Thanks for the quick response. I appreciate it, and think I'll go with the demo'd that you suggested. Thanks again! Have a great day.

    Tara
  • Rebecca Blasco

    You too!

How's the weather down in Florida today? I lived in Tampa for five years. Moved to Colorado Springs last year and couldn't be happier . . . snow at Christmas!
  • Patrica Pryor

  • Lindsey Perry

Hey, Rebecca! Can you send me your e-mail address again? I need one more proofer for overflow. Are you still interested? (I don't know if you remember me, but I'm the reporter on CaseCATalyst that likes changes made directly to the file with a "^" next to each change so I can scan through and make sure I agree w/ the changes. Sorry it's been so long since we first chatted! I think it was over a month ago!)
  • Carmelita Lee

hi beck, I have been trying to call you, your phone turns to fax noise. Dad has not computer, so that's why he is not responding ... it's still in container and container has not shipped yet. working like a dog ... I don't have my recipies either, they are inthe container. you need to get ahold of missy probably, or the girls. thats the only ones who may have. hope all is well, kids are fine. missy coming over to see me for christmas (just after) by herself so we can visit for a week or so. hellow to everyone ...
  • Colleen Davidson, RPR

  • Deborah Morin

    Hi Rebecca!
I figured I'd just write to you on your wall rather than posting to the forum in general. I live in So. Cal. I just read your profile. You sound amazing! I wish I were busier because you sound like an excellent scoper. Plus there is that other stumbling block being that I'm on Eclipse!
  • Ellen Sarem

    Rebecca!!

I love your Doc Dog as well!
  • Deborah Morin

Thanks, Rebecca. I'll keep your info handy just in case. I just sent you a friend request. Like I said, you sound like an awesome scopist! I used to do a lot of med mal but it seems like all the quality work has dried up as of late. I'm thinking of going out and marketing some of my own clients to get proactive about it, but alas I need a self-confidence boost!
  • Andrea Gwynn

Hi, Rebecca. Thank you for your comments and advice. It's very helpful, and I appreciate your taking the time to do that. I've been pretty frustrated with charging the same rates for proofing an ascii and when I spend so much more time editing and audio checking other jobs. I knew I should be charging more for those, but I didn't want to lose my clients because of it. Again, thanks for your advice!
  • Deborah Morin

Sounds like good advice. I'll try that!
  • Sandra Rodriguez

Hi Rebecca!! We live in Flower Mound, which is kind of in between Fort Worth and Dallas, so it should be a good location once I am working. The exam is scheduled to take place on April 18th. I just need to get a hold of some really good speed tapes.
  • Sandra Rodriguez

Thank You, Rebecca. You know, sometimes I can write and not feel my fingers move, but lately I don't know what's going on. I am thinking too much, I think. I've just got to keep on practicing.
  • Ellen Sarem

    Hi, Rebecca!
I just wanted to pop in and say a quick hello...
  • Rebecca Blasco

    Hello, dahlliinngggg . . .
