Nice, Its not a bad job, it pays well and you still have time for other things.
Is your son a videographer now?
  • Kelli Combs (admin)

Try using Youconvertit.com to convert files. however, am not sure if we support CC.
    its worth a shot.

Somehow I knew you were going to say that Monti. I don't know why, but somehow I knew.
  • Faye

Sure! For a nominal fee of $19.95 ...... nah, as long as you give Cindi credit for her work, it's fine. Just keep in mind, if my words get you work...we need to talk royalties.... :-P
  • John E. O'Sullivan II

Thank you Faye. I think this site will be beneficial for all of us!!

Hi John -- I just finished a bench trial concerning a patent on hay rakers/balers in east Texas. I'm Texas born & raised, but I still had to laugh at this sentence: "The original wasn't a bad piece of equipment, but dang if you didn't get a hitch in your giddyup ever now and then, yes, sir." (!)

If you have any trouble understanding the good folks of Cameron, just give me a holler.
  • John E. O'Sullivan II

Wow, I can relate. My judge was even talking like that!

    Thank you Kelli.

    John,

I recognize your name from CRF. Nice to put a face with the name. Your page looks great, you've put a lot of work into it. And I find your blogs great reading. I look forward to learning from your experience. I like that MJ video, funny.
  • John E. O'Sullivan II

Thanks Leslie for the compliments. I didn't add the MJ video, that was Monti. I just shared my MJ experience.

    hi john -

kelli has encouraged me for a long time to get scopist and she's got a point. while i'm trying a bit to lay low and not work as much as last year, it doesn't mean i need to do it all myself! i'll look at your webpage and be in touch when things ramp up again.

    thanks for the note.

    Hello John,

Nice to meet someone local in the business. I just read through your blog posts. Good luck in your business. If I come to the point where I decide I want to use a scopist, I will keep your name in mind.

I see "John E. O'Sullivan II", not sure were you see the "/".
you can change the way your name appears under settings on the top right.
    hope that helps.
  • John E. O'Sullivan II

Monti, I wanted to put a RSS feed of some sort on my website for here. Is that possible?
  • Maria Ellicott

Thanks, John. I just started scoping school, and I'm looking forward to it. I'll definately be asking you questions! lol I hope I don't get on your nerves too much lol
  • John E. O'Sullivan II

Not a problem, Maria. I doubt that would happen anyway.
  • John E. O'Sullivan II

Monti or Kelli, do you still have the buttons available so that I can put it on my website?
  • John E. O'Sullivan II

Never mind Monti and Kelli, what I meant was the badges and widgets and I found what I needed.
  • Annemarie Grant

    Hi John,
Just wanted to drop in, say hello, and see if you ever decided on a slogan for your business cards. How are things going for you? I have seen some posts regarding the need for local scopists in the New York area. Have you heard about it?

Let us know how it's going.

    ~ Annemarie
  • Annemarie Grant

    Hi John,

Yes, I do like the slogan. It will look nice and stand out on your business cards. I understand about priorities. The great thing about this business is that it is so flexible. You can stay connected while doing other things and pop back when you're ready.

    Take care,
    Annemarie

Anyone have any ideas on how I can get paid from a reporter that owes me money? A little background. I started working for this reporter back in November or December. She is on an older version of Case CATalyst, which means that when she sends me work and I do the corrections she cannot open the file unless I send her an ASCII. We did that for the first couple of jobs and then she just said send the CC file and she will forward that on to the company. She has paid me for three or four invoices. Now she has outstanding almost $500 which she claimed that she sent a check over three weeks ago. She won't return my calls, or my e-mails. What can I do?
  • Nikki

Hi John, thanks for introducing me to kimberly. The two of you have been a big help to me. Its nice to know that there are people out there who dont mind helping someone new to the court reporting industry. Again i thank the both of you!

Thank you so much for your prompt response! Unfortunately, I won't be utilizing my 2001 any longer since I know of no way to find another DOS-based computer to load it on. Thanks again! Have a wonderfully blessed day!
