Hi, Randy. I am a very big fan of the Philippines, but in another arena. My BF plays pool professionally, and, of course, as most know, the Filipinos rule the pool world. Efren, Ronnie Alcano, Alex Pagulayan, and Bustie are friends of ours.
Now back to business. Page rates in my area are based on the turnaround time. They vary also depending on the region you live in. Some companies today are charging per audio minute or per audio hour, meaning for a one-hour recording, the company would charge one rate per hour or 60 times whatever the per-audio-minute rate is.
Good to hear from you. When Pacman is in Vegas, he trains at my friend's boxing complex. I've got some GREAT pictures of Manny in training. I used to think Efren Reyes was King of Philippines. Now I think Manny is the King of Philippines. He is loved by all.
Randy, my friend Melissa Little from Denver is playing in women's Philippines 10-Ball Open this week.
Of all people, she ended up sparring with Manny, playing him two sets at One Side Billiards in Manila as she prepares for the 2009 Philippine Open, one set 10-Ball and one set 9-Ball, and she won both.
I can't wait until she returns to the States, so I can ask her about how she ended up practicing with Pacman. She took some pictures too.
Randy, I used to have a hard time juggling my work with my boyfriend's professional pool career. We haven't been on the tournament trail for over 2 years now. Living out of a suitcase is not all that it's cracked up to be. There's no place like home!
Melissa is American, but she is a lady pro here with the Women's Professional Billiards Association (WPBA). The American men pros are currently not with a professional organization, but that's the topic of another thread which I'd label "Pool Politics." LOL!

It's actually more about my boyfriend, but pool was a big part of my life for a while, but it's hard to make a living in pool. He came in third place at the 2003 U.S. Open and only pocketed $10,000. Pool is more of a recreational game here in the States, as opposed to a sport like it is in the Philippines. Pool gets no respect here.
Randy, I remember reading that basketball was popular in Philippines.
What warms my heart about the Filipino people is how gentle they are to visitors. I remember watching the World Pool Championship live on the Internet between Filipino Ronnie Alcano and German Ralf Souquet. Ronnie, of course, won, but at the trophy ceremony at the end, when Ralf began to speak, he got a little choked up. He really wanted to win. The whole audience of Filipino people, which is where the WPC was held, stood up and gave him a standing ovation. It still gives me goose bumps thinking about it.
Check it out. It is so cool. Watch it when Ralf speaks at counter 2:50: 2006 WPC Finals
Hi, Randy. Glad to see you're back and busy. It will be interesting to see Manny's development in the political arena. Some friends of mine just returned from their trip in Philippines. They had a blast, so much fun. One day, I'm going to come visit. I know I would enjoy myself there!
Hi, Randy: Do you proofread the Eclipse document and make corrections directly into the transcript? We're looking for print-ready product.

Randy,
Got your e-mail from last night around 10:56. First and only one, but did get the receipt of transcript e-mail around the same time too.
Let me know if you have any questions.
The e-mail address I use is clreporting@mac.com. If I send from my iPhone, it will read tk.ck@mac.com. I haven't found a Mac tech that knows how to change that setting yet. Was at the Apple store yesterday, but they said to call tech support. I'm working on it so that it reads the same from wherever I send. Sorry for any confusion on that.
My job for Monday rescheduled to September, and then an hour later I picked up a different one . So I'll have something for you the beginning of next week.
Randy,
I have sent you two e-mails explaining which e-mails have made it to me. Hope this helps with the trouble-shooting. Let me know if there is anything further I can do. Thanks.
Randy,
I have not received the errata sheet your email said was sent this morning. Are you getting my return responses on the emails you are sending saying the errata has not arrived?
Randy,
At 12:56 A.M. I received the errata sheet. Did you do anything different? This is the craziest thing. I am receiving all kinds of other mail all through the day and night. I am really at a loss.
So let me get this staight. This last time, the difference was that you sent it to my 3 addresses? If so, as a test -- at your leisure-- could you send the mail with the attachment, individually to each e-mail address. Maybe there's a problem somewhere within one of those.
Thanks
Randy,
I received the first errata at 1:59 a.m. and the second at 2:01 a.m.
What did you do different from the send on Sunday that did not make it here?
Randy,
Hmm, thanks for the information. I will call Apple tech support tomorrow and see if they have any ideas. But for now, yes, please send it to the tk.ck address.
And, yes, I will process that request tomorrow. Thanks again for doing such a great job!! You are truly a gem :)
Randy, please let us know that you are okay. I am praying for all my Filipino brothers and sisters. Post on this forum when you are able to. God bless you!
Randy, heard great things about you and would love to work with you. I work in Superior court. Please let me know if you are interested.
