VERY NICE PICS, My Dear Mentee; absolutely beautiful....Congratulations! It's your time now, IT'S YOUR TIME...........NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like Nike says: "JUST DO IT"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, Stephanie. You are aware that Aaron did 95% of the work, right? Anyway, I can assure you that my 5% consisted of like the most important parts. :) I am so excited for you, especially of all the good things that are going to come your way! Cheering you on ...
I just saw that you responded to my post from ages ago. I wish I'd known. I also see that you made the CSR in June, which I believe was held today? I would love to know how you felt about it, what it was like, etc. I'm at Sage in 120's, but I love listening to other student's success stories.
What's up? I'm doing all right. We are starting the last six weeks of the summer session tomorrow, so I'm practicing right now. So since I haven't seen you lately, I'm assuming that you felt good with the test? Well, I miss you and hope things are going well. I better get back to practicing so I can go take the CSR exam =) Take care and keep in touch.
Thank you. I'm glad that you took some time off and had a good time in Vegas, you deserve it! I'm also glad to hear that you felt the test was good one. If I don't see you in class, I will for sure bug you on here, now that we're friends on CSR Nation =)
Yes, we can do lunch. I'll have my people call your people.
How cool is that to be co-workers. I plan to call Loretta Tuesday. Maria and
I would like to meet you and Jennifer for lunch by next week.
Hey Stephanie. How did it go? I enjoyed myself yesterday. Thanks for the encouragement. You know you can sit out with me any time once I get some experience, but it looks like we both we'll be getting our experience at the same time. We'll help each other. Maria will be contacting you to see if we can get together sometime next week.
Not too bad, Stephanie. When I walked in and saw the reporter's desk and chair, I thought Wow! That's my chair today. I don't have to sit in the corner somewhere. :)
I really liked it. It felt so good to be living my dream -- well, almost. (lol) I was a little nervous, but it soon passed. Reporters tell me that, after you get settled in. you'll be okay. You'll be okay. You're good at this. Personally, I wonder if they're more intimidated by us (sometimes). Do you remember that commercial "Don't let them see you sweat"? What I liked most is when the attorney and Court knew what to do in regards to the CR. For example when they make statements "for purposes of the record" etc.
By the way, Stephanie, I have been meaning to ask you. Mikki and I were wondering how you get your pictures up there with the caption. I tried to figure it out but to no avail?
Wow! Look at you. Very, VERY nice. Mrs. Professionalism. When you look up that word in the dictionary, your picture should be there. Congratulations. Now, while you're out there and sitting in and everything, notice what all the other reporters are wearing. I remember my mentor bought my first suit and I was wearing that and others all the time. I realized I was outdressing the attorneys. I knew that by so many people referring to me and thinking I was the attorney. I think you know what I'm trying to say, but you enjoy this, okay? You SOOOO deserve this...and this is you! GO GIRL!
So what are you doing in the meantime? School is there like always and forever. Hopefully not too long for me though. Like I mentioned before, maybe we can grab some lunch for the next meeting, if you can.
Well, I need my last 190 4V and so it's very frustrating, but I know every one of us has our day of glory. So I am patiently waiting for my day. Hopefully it will soon be here. So that's that. You're right we can decide on that day what to get. I'm just not very familiar with that area though so hopefully we can find something.
Congratulations, Stephanie on passing the CSR. I bet you celebrated with your husband. Good for you. Now, we really have to have lunch and celebrate your victory at the Hutchings meeting, if you are still going. Let me know.
Hi Stephanie...i don't know if you remember me but we conversated once or twice at school, heard the great news today from Tracy and thought I'd come on your page and say CONGRATS:) You worked really hard for this, you so deserve it..GO GIRLL...Take care...
ah, school is school..I'm just trying to pull through these speed classes. I got a 150 JC to pass to hit my 160s and it's killing me that I haven't passed it yet because there's one more week left of summer and I'm tyring to pass that test before it ends..sigh...sooner or later I'll get it:) Btw, I love the new look:) Any pointers to build speed??? I so need some right now....
So true..thanks for that pointer, Stephanie:) I'm just going to have to PUSH. But yes girl, keep in touch with your success and of course I'll let you know when I hit my 160s:) Take care and again, CONGRATS...YAYYY:)
Hi, Stephanie, I do remember you! CONGRATS on the pass! It's a great feeling to pass it the first time! I am so thankful for passing my first time too! I send you an e-mail with more tips and advice soon. Just a little swamped right now! Have you started interviewing yet?
Thx Stephanie. I love your new pics. I especially like the statement "New CSR." I wanted to tease you that I never seen anybody look so sexy pumping gas. ha ha
How are your doing? All is well here. We just completed our first week of the fall semester. We have about 50 theory babies. Do you remember when your were a baby??????
Hello Stephanie,
How did your first Depo. go? Did you swear in your witness?????
Keep a journal for us, okay. You have so raised the bar. Keep going!
Have a fantastic day, Micki
I am glad the last two were much better. Every job is another opportunity to fine tune your skills. Keep a journal and share any tips that would help your classmates gain better understanding of the profession. Have a wonderful day!
Hey Stephanie..you know I had to come by and say HAPPY BIRTHDAY:) May God bless you with many more years to come and hope you have a wonderful day. Take care!!!
Awww, that was very sweet of your court reporting program to throw a banquet for you guys... complete with that awesome, very unique cake and super cute pic! :)
I go to Tri-Community, and I went back to full-time status last year. Before then I only went to school very, very part-time (I put work ahead of school then... now I wish I hadn't!). I'm at 160 wpm with one test needed to get to 180 wpm. I go back to school on Tuesday.
It's super hard to find/make the time to practice since I also work 26 hours at a law office, freelance on the side as a transcriptionist, and have a boyfriend, family, friends, and church privileges/obligations. But I really need to UP MY GAME if I really want to finish by next year! That's the goal!
Any tips on how/what to practice? Would love to get your input!
Also, what kind of work do you do now as a licensed reporter? When I finish, I want to be a broadcast captioner and either at a studio or work from home.
Thanks for the nice words about my boyfriend and me. One very big reason why I chose court reporting is their flexible schedule -- when we get married and start having kids, I want to stay home with them. So the plan is to work at night doing captioning from home. We'll see! :)

That's awesome that you made the June CSR! I unfortunately won't be going but am pretty optimistic about passing in October. Good luck!

You can finally tell people your wife is a hearing reporter, not student. I think. since he's known me, I've been a student.

Your job will get easier with more speed -- and I know you have plenty of room to grow if you just shorten down that longhand theory of yours. :)
