Hi Shannon. Thanks for the friend request. I ordered my machine through my school. They sent me the elan Cybra student version from stenograph. Luckily its included in my financial aid. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
Of course I remember you! Thanks for finding me here and adding me as a friend. :)
So glad that you got your steno machine and that you'll start this wonderful, challenging, wonderful, challenging (haha!) court reporting journey! I think you'll truly love it! ;)
I'm going back to school tomorrow after about 2 weeks of taking care of business at home, at work, and doing some required court observation hours (for school). Can't wait to get back on the ball myself!
So cute how you're excited about your first day of school this Tuesday! I'm excited for you as well! GOD BLESS! :D
So glad that you're loving your court reporting program! :) Which school do you go to again?
I'm well, thanks. Just very busy trying to figure out what I'm going to do in the New Year... with school, with job, etc. Heavy stuff actually! :P But I'm doing my part to research what the best option really is, and I pray that my ultimate choice is the wisest, best thing.
Thanks so much for your prayers, Shannon! You're so sweet, and I always appreciate more prayers! :)
I've decided to go with the Simply Steno online court reporting program. That will give me the chance to work full-time. I believe an online program will work GREAT with my personality -- I'm always in front of the computer anyway, and I tend to be a night owl! Might as well be productive during that time, right? Hehehe.
You should definitely check out Simply Steno, too, since you're in California. The Simply Steno program preps you to take the RPR exam. I'll do that... and then take the CSR exam. It's a little known fact that taking the RPR and being an NCRA member ALREADY QUALIFIES you to take the CSR. We do NOT have to go to an NCRA-approved school! :P Which works great for me... since I'm so tired of commuting and switching up my schedules to fit in work and school! :P
Anyway, please just check it out to see if it might be a good option for you, too. If not, no worries... at least you're doing research. :)
Thanks again for everything! GOD bless you on that 2nd test of yours! :)
