Hey Lori!

I just wanted to say Hi and introduce, myself. My name is Joan Hurtis and I live in Tomahawk, WI, (yes, there really is a city with that name.) But I have a soft spot in my heart for Southwest Florida.

I live in the Port Charlotte / Ft. Meyers are from 1982 until1988 and then up in Clearwater / Port Richie area until 1995. And my son was born in St. Pete and raised for quite a while there, so he considers himself a true Floridian. I loved it there, but that was a past life and one marriage ago! LOL

I was back to the area about ten years ago and I couldn't believe the changes, but now I'm sure it would be overwhelming.

Hi Lori,

I am a fairly new reporter in new york and I am thinking about relocating because it is terribly expensive to live here. I hear that south florida is in need of reporters, so I was wondering if you could help me out with some information about reporting there. I really need to know if there is enough work, because its slow in new york right now, and also, what rates are like. Any information you could give me would be so helpful. Thanks, Jen Benci
