And don't stress yourself out UNNECESSARILY about things that haven't even taken place yet or probably never will (talking to myself here, too! :P). They say a LARGE percentage of the things we worry about NEVER happen! So why waste all that energy?!
Just yesterday my attorney (I work at a law office) told me that he talked with a working reporter and mentioned that I'm in court reporting school. You know what that working reporter told my attorney? She told him to tell me (the student) to NEVER STOP! You MAY hit those plateaus (and I think 99.9% of reporters do!), but IF you do... YOU CANNOT STOP! You just gotta keep PUSHING THROUGH... and eventually you'll get through that plateau and onto your next speed goal... and then GRADUATION! WOO HOO! :D
So don't worry about things not yet here yet. And if/when you do hit a rocky patch, don't get discouraged! Show up to school every day, put in your BEST EFFORT every time you're on your machine, and continue to believe that you CAN AND WILL get through court reporting school and become an AWESOME COURT REPORTER in the very near future. YOU CAN DO IT! :D
