You can start any group you want. I won't be on the map, though. I don't make any money on any of those groups, so I'm not really interested in adding a ton of cities to the map. I'm a full-time reporter myself and it is very time consuming. You are more than welcome to start a group and I'll approve it.
Yes and no; the CradlePoint is a router. So if you're at home and we have WiFi routers that never leave the house. The CradlePoint is a mobile version. You still need to connect the Ethernet line, if you want to be hardwired in or you have the ability to use a mobile UBS stick to create a 4G/3G connection and you then you don't have to rely on WiFi. You technically create your own mobile router. I hope that makes sense... It's just like the Apple Airport Express router, which I no use when I'm in areas with bad WiFi. Hope that helps!
