    Hi, Elise!

I'm a court reporting student, too. I'm sort of like you too... I work as a legal assistant now. School full-time, work part-time.

How's school going? What speed are you in? I go to Tri-Community, and I just got into the 180 speed class.

Please check out my blog when you get a chance -- stenonerd.blogspot.com. I chronicle my court reporting journey there and hope to be an encouragement to fellow court reporting students. Thanks in advance!

I hope you have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :D

    Hi Elsie,
The LS works great with Eclipse. Brenda Rogers uses the LS with Eclipse, and I think others on this site do, too. I'm selling it, because I have problems with my thumbs that gets aggravated using a flat keyboard like the LS and my laptop computer. I, personally, think it would be a good idea to start using a professional writer when you can so that you'll be so used to the writer when you're ready to work that it will be a smooth transition. I'm saying that whether you decide on a LS or any other writer. If you decide on the LS, there is a website that LS users have uploaded their configuration setting to. That saved me hours and hours of adjusting keys.

Let me know if you're interested in the LS, or I also have a Mira A3 that I'm going to sell for $2,500. That has the audio backup.

I ended up buying the new Diamante writer, so I now have too many writers.

Try out diffferent writers if you get the chance, and see what feels best to you.

    Hi, Elsie.

Thanks so much for the lovely message! Yes, we will keep each other posted on our progress through this wonderful, challenging court reporting journey! :)

No, I haven't had the pleasure yet of going to a conference, but I'll definitely look into it more the next time a local one comes my way. Thanks for the recommendation!

OK, have a great week at school, Elsie! Talk to you later.
