    Wrong Betty Kelly.

I forgot you knew her, too.

I'll tell Linda -- JW's last reporter -- that you had him in on your panel.

It didn't take 12 days this time to pick the jury, did it?? :)

    Check that out!!

Clay posted it over in the Magnum Steno Fan Club. (Have you joined yet?)

Not bad for his first real week hooking up. He said he even finger spelled Judge Trask's name.

BUT of course the judge had to point out what he did wrong. :)

I thought the "testing" was absolutely hilarious and just the usual Clay wit.

He told Alton he was trying to get a second to make a note of the speaker I.D. -- as I think he hit it wrong more than once and of course knew he did so -- but the judge beat him to it. HA!

I just can't be prouder of that kid. What unbelievable realtime for a newbie. I honestly think he'll pass the CRR as soon as he takes it -- that is unless he tries to get too fancy with the finger spelling. :)

Hope you're having shorter days (and less) on voir dire. I know you have to laugh about it because if you don't you'll wail. :)

Oh, yes, I do believe you are being overly optimistic. I think reporters who can do that coming out of school are pretty close to being nonexistent.

I am a proud mama, as you know!!

Our garden is looking so awesome! We've been jogging a mile in the morning and then picking weeds before I have to start getting ready for work. It's been fun, and I hope I can stick with it. It sure beats the stairs at lunch with all the fire retardant crap.

New judge equals a necessity to exercise, so besides being extremely happy with my new crew, I get to get into shape.

I keep thinking the beach is next weekend, BUT it's not. I'm still planning on going down on Saturyday. I could handle only so much sand in my crack. :)
