    Hey, Leanne -

I saw your post to Eric.  Eric actually bought my Passport from me.  He had issues with it but seemed to like it.  It fell over at a deposition and then never was right after that.  He bought a Diamante and is using that now.  Advantage never did fix it.

I sold Eric my Passport because I had so many issues with the writer; never would hit the keys that I had hit.  A "D" would show up all the time that I had not even come close to hitting.  Hated that writer.

Hi Leanne, yeah, it turned out to be a dog.  Actually, that's an insult to dogs.  And this was the replacement they had sent me after the one I bought from Kelli burned itself up. Out of the box, my untran rate was double to triple what it had been on my Stentura 6000. I was constantly fiddling with it and adjusting it and sending data to Advantage Software on the contacts and blah, blah, blah.  I was never able to get my untran rate down to what it had been on my Stentura.  Then one day it got knocked over (not by me, though I was frequently tempted) on a job, and that was that.  I immediately ordered a new Diamante and right out of the gate, my untran rate was lower than ever.  A much better writer in that respect.  I loved (and miss) the touch and extremely short stroke depth on the passport as well as a few of the other keyboard enhancements, but those are the only good things I can say about it.  The rest of it was a big pain where the sun don't shine - stacking, stuttering, keys firing that I had never touched, keys not firing that I did hit, the damned thing freezing up after doing an on-the-fly key adjustment on the job, on and on.  Now the memories are flooding back. There was absolutely NO WAY I could have taken that writer on a realtime job.  I'd have been thrown outta the room.  Ah, yes, good times, good times - not.
