Sorry to hear that you're feeling stuck in speeds. I wish there was some magic pill or awesome piece of advice I could offer. Seems like you're in the right place if you're looking for inspiration or a fresh practice approach.

Things are going all right for me. I've been doing depositions for a little over a year now. I think it's time to start working toward a new goal like the RPR, or maybe I'll try out the pro tem thing in court. I've loved steno since the first day of theory and I want to keep trying new things and learning faster and better ways of writing. I'm really intrigued by all the posts about Mark Kislingbury's method. Have you looked at that at all?

Hey Mykael, I responded to your post about being stuck in speeds and recommended courtreportinghelp.com, a site that helped me immensely. When I went to that site just now, I saw that it has changed a lot and at first glance seems all about buying their speed teacher program and stuff. I've tried that and liked it, but what I really wanted to point you to is the free stuff, the articles. So if you go to the site, click on "Instruction" at the top, and that will take you to the awesome articles. I especially recommend the "Rhythm Method." Best of luck to you!!

I know, it was fun! and that Colonial guy was super cute! Yeah, definitely try out practicing that way. I just got out of the 160 class, and I am writing sooooo clean. I am still dropping a little too much, but I think that will go away very soon because of all of the practice. I totally need to step up and sit in my speed. Gettin there though. You, hang in there.... keep practicing (for real), and I will call you when we have plans again.
