To My Prospective Employer:

My name is Pattie Walker.  I was a court reporting student from 1998 to 2001 when the school closed its doors.  During my education, I carried a 4.0 GPA in my academic courses; namely, grammar and punctuation.  I learned Sten-Ed theory, and I can read steno notes.

When I left school, I worked as a legal transcriptionist for the federal court system in Houston, McAllen, and California from 2001 to 2003.  I transcribed civil and criminal trials, hearings, pleadings, and bankruptcy proceedings.

I also worked as a medical transcriptionist from 2003 to 2005.  I transcribed for different specialties; to wit, chiropractic, orthopedic, psychiatric, ophthalmology, dental, neurosurgical, and cardiology.

Working both as a legal and medical transcriptionist, I achieved my goal of having a well-rounded view of all aspects of the legal field before I started my career of choice which is scoping.  I have been scoping since October of 2005.

I am currently utilizing Case CATalyst, Digital CAT, and Eclipse V4 and V5 software.

One of my many attributes is that I am a perfectionist.  I will make every effort to give you a sound work product in a timely manner.  My rates are reasonable, and I will meet turnaround times.

If I can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me via E-mail (pwalker18@comcast.net) or telephone (281-794-3177).

Sincerely,

Pattie Walker

Scopist

I am working with one official reporter currently and I'm interested in adding more reporters to my client base. I worked as a freelance reporter for nine years.  I have the StenoCat 32 software, but I would be willing to discuss purchasing other software if there was enough work to justify that.  My rates are negotiable, depending on delivery times. References are available.

After 25 years as an Official Court Reporter, I took early retirement and I am interested in scoping for other reporters.  As an official, I covered all aspects of criminal and civil cases which would include any subject matter you can think of.  I have used StenoCat32/InSync for many years and stay updated when a new version is released.  My rate is extremely reasonable and my turnaround time would be at your pleasure.  I know what putting a transcipt out is all about as far as the time factor, accuracy and format.  I look forward to hearing from you at lolaur54@yahoo.com.  Thank you.

Experienced scopist available for reporters utilizing Digital Cat, Eclipse, and Case Catalyst software.  I have been scoping for approximately five years and was reporter trained.  I scope word-for-word with audio.

Prior to scoping I was a paralegal and legal secretary for 15 years, with experience in all facets of the legal field.  As a paralegal, I have a strong grasp of legal terminology and have no qualms researching those words or areas that need to be researched.

I have scoped depositions, EUOs, arbitrations, official transcripts such as prelims, voir dire, and trials and subjects such as asbestos litigation, securities litigation, medical malpractice, etc.  No job is too simple or complex or too small or too big.

I am able to accept sound files via email in .dss format, .wav, .wma, or mp3 formats and will be happy to supply you with access to my file sharing account if you don’t already have an account.

I offer quick turnaround and competitive rates.  I also am able to accommodate dailies and expedite work.

Looking for a highly experienced Case CATalyst scopist to work a daily with audio.  Hearing is scheduled for August 3rd and 4th.  Will use DropBox to send ten-minute work units out, so scopist must be available for the days of the hearing.  My translation rate is 98.0 to 99.2 percent.  The hearing is scheduled on the 3rd from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on the 4th from 7:00 a.m. to about 8:00 a.m. (note, one hour) or until finished.  Must listen to audio word for word.  Any experience working a daily with DropBox would be great.

Please e-mail me to discuss rates if you are interested.  The potential for a lot of future hearings is very good.

Thank you,

Kelly

Looking for a highly experienced scopist/proofer for overflow work at this time.  If all works well, of course, potential to work up to first position.  Transcripts are relatively clean, free of untranslates, but technical, with an emphasis in intellectual property law.  Must listen to audio word for word with a 3-day turnaround, for scoping, and 1-2 day turnaround for proofing.  E-mail to discuss rates.

If you're a hard-working court reporter looking to increase your free time and productivity and decrease your taxing workload, look no further!  Lunar Eclipse Scoping is here to help.  I have 15+ years of experience as a professional scopist and have worked on StenoCAT, CaseCatalyst, and am currently using Eclipse 5 software, which I have determined to be my personal favorite among the various stenography software.  I have ample experience scoping depositions of all types, medical malpractice, grand jury proceedings, asbestos, workers compensation, and pretty much everything else under the sun!  My thorough scoping technique is of the highest caliber, and I can easily adapt to your preferred grammatical style.  I perform internet research when faced with unfamiliar terms or phrases, and in the rare event I cannot positively identify a term, I will call it to your attention in my emails with suggestions and in the transcript with the symbol you prefer.  I will work with or without audio, and my extremely affordable rates are all under $2.00 per page -- even for dailies with audio!  Please visit Lunar Eclipse Scoping at http://lunareclipsescoping.weebly.com or email me at bradberry_dorothy@yahoo.com today with any questions or for a preference sheet!

I have been scoping with StenoCat 32 w/audio for 10 years. I attended court reporting school up to 180 wpm but had to drop out due to an accident. My turnaround time is whatever you need it to be. My rate is $1.00 per page, with or without audio. I will listen to audio word for word, not just spot check, at no extra charge. I am very honest and will let you know up front if I cannot meet your timeframe, which would be very rare. I have never missed a deadline. I have scoped just about everything and I am always willing to learn. It is your transcript and it will be done your way. I currently live in Nevada but have scoped for reporters in many states so I am familar with many different formats. I look forward to hearing from you at mavsnana1@aol.com or feel free to call me at any time 775-336-8992.  Cheri

Hi!  I just finished the court reporting program in California, and I am waiting for my test results from the CSR.  I have been proofing and scoping while in school.  I am in need of more work, preferably scoping. :)  I have a fast turnaround time, depending on the length, it's usually within a day or so.  I have Procat Winner software.  As far as I know, it's compatible with any other software.  You may contact me at 925-759-0770 or e-mail jaimiehopp@yahoo.com.  Thanks for your time!
