sten ed theory books

If anyone has any old sten ed theory books for beginners around collecting dust, I would love to put them to use. I am a voice writer trying to get back to machine writing for real time but I need to start at the beginning to be sure I'm on the right track. Any help would be great. Thank you, Elizabeth Methvin, CCR Natchitoches, Louisiana

Mac, DigitalCat, CaseCat, Protege...Help!!

Hi,

I'm new here. I stumbled upon the community, and I figured someone could help me here. I was on cheapandsleazy.net looking for a way to configure my Macbook with DigitalCat. I was lead to the Wine application, but I still can't get it to work. I would also like to use my CaseCat as well. I do have another pc I can use in the mean time, but it saves me having to carry around two laptops because the Dell is pretty ancient.

I have DigitalCat 167, 190, and 192 installed (I… Continue

Use of "so" as end of answer. I know there was a blog or discussion on here but I can't find it now.

Sorry in advance, as I know this was already discussed on here, but I can't find the discussion. I'm proofing a Q & A and almost every other answer ends with and unneeded "so" which my CR currently has as ending with a period. I know she doesn't like -- and ... isn't really correct as she isn't trailing off, she'll give a complete answer and ad (so) to the end for God knows what reason. This is a bad habit, I guess, that she ends sentences with "so". I'm thinking the . would be correct. "I… Continue

CRR Exam

Does anyone have a suggestion as the best source for starting up Realtime? I do it for all of my jobs, but want to get to the next level so that I can pass the May CRR exam.
Is there a seminar?
Is it best to do an in-depth training session on my Catalyst software?
Thanks in advance for your input.

GEMINI REVOLUTION GRAND WRITER

Hello, fellow court reporters.

Checking to see if anyone is interested in buying 1 yr. old Gemini writer with all equipment (case, tripod, tablet computer complete with Windows XP, blue tooth, real-time cable, etc.) Now am working in Buffalo, NY, where most everyone is using Stenograph. I have the manuals and all info that came with the machine and contact numbers for support at the Neutrino Group (where I purchased). They are very helpful and would work with the buyer to adjust this… Continue

After 50 Years, Mother and Daughter Reunite

I was adopted. Some might look at being adopted as an unfortunate happening in one's life, but, in my circumstance at birth, it was the best thing that could ever have happened to me. I grew up with a loving family who gave me every opportunity to be somebody, and my parents really did love me. I will always consider my adopted parents as my parents.

I did get to meet my birth mother years ago, and I have two older brothers and an older sister. I have never met my birth… Continue

Encouragement

Hi again. lol. I am usually the one who loves to give the encouragement, but I am feeling a little down lately. 01/01/10 is not going well, and I only left my house for about 2 hours... But that story is for a different day when I don't feel so stupid. lol

I have been working for three years this January and am still not doing realtime. I graduated from Alfred State online, and had a 3.8 GPA. But then I found Mark K., and realized that my theory, well, kind of sucked in certain… Continue
